We made a reservation by email for this place (using our taste card). When we arrived, it had been allocated to the following day. The duty manager Jamie was extremely rude to us and was dismissive - even saying to one of our party a curt "if you let me finish" when we said that we wern;t happy that we could not be given a table - this guy should be sent to the USA for customer service training - not a good front line face for this hotel!
However, the day was saved by the intervention of the banqueting and conference manager, Gemma. She was courteous and excellent. She provided us with drinks and menus and we dined in the Boyson - albeit over 90 minutes after we had booked for. The service from Adele was excellent and the food was brilliant too.
