Just returned from the Manor House Hotel. Fantastic stay. We stay in the family room which has beautiful views either side. The food is excellent with a wide variety of choice. My friends are vegetarian and the choice is fantastic. The staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel is immaculate and the prices of food and drink are very reasonable. Thanks again Lynn for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Any room at the front has fantastic views.

Having paid this sort of price at other hotels we did expect things to be a little more plush than they were. The room had a nice view of the Castle and the bathroom was very nice and obviously recently refurbished. The bed however was quite small.

The Wi-Fi (which we were told was not guaranteed - despite a 'free Wi-Fi' sign in the bar area) was impossible to access no matter where we moved either in the var or in our room.

Our main issue here was the food, not only was it overly expensive but it simply did not taste 'quality', my partners crab was served in a scallop shell (very retro) and I wasn't even sure that my lasagne had beef in it. I simply cannot find words for my partners duck dish... If anyone has seen the film 'The Witches Of Eastwick' then you'll know the cherry scene! You couldn't see the duck for cherries!! If your going to stay here then search for dinner elsewhere! Breakfast was equally shocking my scrambled egg was literally swimming in water, the bacon tasted boiled and it didn't set us up for the day.

Overall it's probably one of the nicest looking hotels on the island, they can name their price for accomodation due to the fact that you're cut off once the tide's in and there are few other places to stay, however the smell of the food from the pub opposite made us wish we'd eaten there!!

Stayed one night at the Manor House and had an enjoyable stay. A grand, spacious room enjoying double aspect with a view of the castle and sea in the distance and the abbey and garden to the other. Very comfortable accommodation in a very peaceful setting and the service was very good. Breakfast was excellent and we had a very enjoyable evening meal - it was great to actually have several vegetarian options on the menu! Would have loved to have stayed another night but they were fully booked.

Very attractive on the outside with outdoor seating and car park. Inside there is a modern spacious bar area with a separate large dining room. The evening meal was good quality and value for money. The ice-cream is lovely.
Our room was pretty average but for one night was fine with some little extra touches ( bottle of water and biscuits ) The towels were good quality.
The only complaint we had was that the mattress was not comfortable which we reported in the morning.
We enjoyed our stay in this very pleasant hotel in a lovely area but Bed and Breakfast rates are a little pricey. I think you are paying more for the area.

Room Tip: Rooms at front have good views.

Lovely hotel, wonderful room with view of castle, very good facilities in room.
Food in hotel bit of a basic menu but excellently cooked presented.
Only thing that could be improved was the attitude of the staff which was unfriendly and at times sharp and rude.

Room Tip: Worth a visit despite the staff
