“a perfect place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Very welcoming, comfortable place to stay. We had the twin room on the back, which was very comfortable, with good facilities. Being in the separate bungalow next door to the owners' was an ideal arrangement. The owner was attendant to our needs, friendly and flexible with regard to breakfast. We found 8.30 to 9.00 a good time to begin breakfast, and there was no pressure on us to finish quickly. This was a very good base from which to enjoy everything Lindisfarne has to offer, as it is so near to the village centre.
We look forward to staying again.

Have been to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne many times and have stopped at the Bungalow on 3 separate occasions. It is very well located, but I can only comment on one room as we only stay for one night and each time we have been in that room, which is a little small, but very clean and very comfortable. The full English breakfast is superb. I find the prices a little expensive, but on the Island you are a captive audience and all guest houses and hotels are a similar price. Would not hesitate to stay again.

My husband and I married at Lindisfarne Castle in June 2008 and stayed on the Island for our honeymoon. The couple running The Bungalow were lovely and helpful. I still think of them fondly. Couldn't do enough for us - they recommended a few places to go which were so worth the visit. The room was quiet and they recommended we have the room with the castle view. The view was pretty good. The private car park was particularly handy with all our kit to marry! Our room was perfect. Breakfast was filling!

Room Tip: There are only three rooms. I'd recommend the one with the castle view.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for our mini moon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The couple who run it are friendly and helpful without being too imposing. The breakfast was good (though always too large!), ideally could have offered a longer time in which to have breakfast as 8.30am-9am was a little restrictive.

We had the double room and it was very clean with all the facilities that you would expect and a comfortable bed. Just on the outskirts of the village so very convenient for everything you would want to do on the island. Very good idea to have the guest accommodation in a seperate building from the owners' house as you don't feel you are imposing into their home, which can often be a problem with B&Bs.

We were very pleased with our choice of accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a very friendly and well run B&B. An outstanding feature is the breakfast which has to be the best I have come across in any B&B or indeed hotel. There are only three bedrooms in a bungalow next to the owners house. It is quiet, has a car park and also a guests garden which is pleasant.
Our room was twin bedded and small (only one armchair and one dining chair). The bathroom was very small. A shower with the dreaded electric shower which gave a typically weak water supply and whilst there was a radiator in the bathroom there was only a single 'ring' for the towels i.e. no towel rail. These are but relatively minor reservations over what is a very good place to stay.
The whole place is exceptionally clean and well kept.

The host were very accepting, they allowed us to check in early and gave us suggestions about things to do on the island. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you wish to stay on Holy Island you will not find a more convenient place.

Room Tip: We had the suite, two small rooms and a bath. very comfortable

This was a lovely B&B to stay in when we recently visited Holy Island. The B&B rooms are in a separate building, so you don't feel like you're intruding on your hosts. Our deluxe room had a separate bedroom and parlor. Maureen and Geoff were wonderful hosts, and the full english breakfast was delicious.

Holy Island is a beautiful, peaceful place to visit, and we really enjoyed our stay at The Bungalow
