“Atten-tion!”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

There are three museums housed inside the former barracks. The Berwick Museum was the most entertaining. The Barrack Museum featured room after room of information on boards. Although easy to digest it was a it needed a few more displays to liven it up. The Scottish Borders Regiment Museum had lots of displays. Good place to go if you have an interest in the military.

“The first proper barracks in the UK.”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

This site, now in the hands of English Heritage, is well worth visiting. Be sure also to visit the museum of the King's Own Scottish Borderers, within the barracks. And I still remember the stunning WPC 22 of the Northumbria Constabulary (for whom I broke into a disused barracks!).

“Barracks Museum”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

We didn't get to this venue until late in the afternoon which was a mistake as we found the exhibitions on offer very entertaining and could have happily spent several more hours at the barracks.

“Great museum with added features for children.”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Everything. The information boards with the displays were sufficient to tell you what you needed to know, without being too technical. A good experience for all.
