One of the best things about Indigo House is how flexible it is, and how it really can accommodate so many guests comfortably. The configuration of rooms means they are easily adaptable for more or less guests, and as we were a big party, it meant everyone had their own space, but also lots of good social space, and plenty of bathrooms to go round! The kitchen is also really well equipped for a large group, and great to have a dish washer so no fights over the washing up. It was a really fun stay and would definitely recommend for groups and families.
It was such a privilege to be able to stay in this really beautiful house during the Film Festival. It was an ideal base to work from, and provided much needed relaxation during some very busy days.
The attention to detail in making the house both comfortable and stylish is really exceptional, with every thought given to creating a very restful environment.
The kitchen is excellently equipped (so much better than my own home!), with an amazing cooker and oven, good quality pots and pans and every utensil that you could want. It was also lovely to have outside space. To be able to have breakfast in the secluded courtyard with the trees overhanging was a real treat in the last days of summer.
The principle drawing room is also a great space for larger gatherings with a dinning table that easily accommodates 8, and comfortable furnishings for relaxing.
It also has excellent wifi that works all over the house, and the use of the visitor’s parking disc is a real bonus.
The location seems almost magical, a minute from Berwick’s historic town walls, and only a few more to the beach.
I cannot recommend this property enough, and hope I might be able to come back on a proper holiday!
Berwick has a lot to offer for a short trip away - beautiful beaches, great pubs and lovely to get out for a walk around the walls! I was in town for the film festival and the accommodation was perfect. Super convenient, clean, spacious and even features a hot tub!!
