“"Granary-tastic"”

We stayed for 2 nights and we can only say that the rooms were 1st class , the breakfasts were superb and Pam and David were the perfect hosts. David picked us up from the railway station and when we arrived at the Granary tea , biscuits and home made cake were waiting for us in the lounge.
Nothing seemed to much trouble for Pam and David and there was such a selection for breakfast.
When our stay was over David took us back to the station. We fully recommend the Granary to anyone travelling to that part of the country, and hope to revisit ourselves in the not to distant future. John , Marian and Annette Rooke

Room Tip: All the rooms are good but try for the "Dream Suite"

From the moment David appeared with the brolly as we drove up in heavy rain we new we were in for something special.
Don't think for one minute that this is an ordinary guest house with ordinary people ( although Pam and David being borders folk would say they are ) what you get when you step into this beautiful Georgian house with its sumptuous decor, well presented and tasty breakfasts that would not look out of place in a masterchef program, or Davids wit and banter that keeps you laughing throughout is a weekend ticket to the classics be it the eggs benidict or Doris Day at breakfast, morning papers and chocs and wine in the room, the Donatello bath that my wife found so soothing after our walk around the city walls and massage.
The dream suite was just that a " dream " we had a great first trip to B on T and look forward to returning to the Granary a highly recommended establishment with two wonderful hosts.

Had a 3 night business stay at the Granary which is the first time I have stayed in this beautiful guesthouse.

The host Pam & Dave were very accommodating and very welcoming, I felt comfortable straight away. The room was very clean and decorated to a very high standard.

I spend quite a bit of time travelling with work and think this is without doubt one of the, if not the best finds that I have certainly stayed at!

Overall, outstanding and cannot recommend highly enough!

Only managed to stay for one night but it lived up to its reputation so well documented by the other reviewers. Pam and David were the perfect hosts.
I was staggered to hear that they only had set up as new B&Bers some 6 years ago so to have established an outstanding boutique type B&B of such a quality in that time demonstrates true commitment and lots of hard work. Excellent.

We stayed here at the beginning of August, talking all three rooms for a family break to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. Pam and David are the perfect hosts, and provide first class service right from the initial enquires, throughout the stay up to departure. As mentioned elsewhere the will pick you up from the station, and take you back. The welcome tea is a nice touch, particularly after a long journey. Pam and David organised a birthday cake, allowed us to decorate the breakfast room, sorted a bottle of champagne for breakfast, joined in with crazy stick on moustaches, joined us for a drink one afternoon for an impromptu sing along (after my brother had restrung the guitar) and tipped off the Magna Tandoori that it was a special occasion (not sure Dad had a flaming sambuca before!) We left feeling like we’d known them for years. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable with sky TV, mini bar and lovely showers. The whole house is immaculate! There is very little in the way of traffic or over night noise to disturb sleep. The bathroom in the Dream Suite is stunning.
The breakfasts are outstanding, i’d go as far as best ever. The fruit platter and yoghurt delightful, a lovely range of cereals, but go easy, the cooked mains, are huge. Eggs Benedict with the trout was enough to fill you up all day, and the pancakes...wow, really light and fluffy. You could quite easily fill up at breakfast go out and walk all day and not eat again to the evening. We all had such a great time that we are already planning return visits. This is probably the best place any of us have stayed. Outstanding and it deserves all the plaudits it gets.

Room Tip: They are all stunning

We stayed at The Granary for one night only (would have loved to stay longer!) in the Dream Suite and it was perfect! You are made to feel incredibly welcome from the start with a fresh pot of tea and biscuits in the lounge room and help with your bags to the room. The whole place is immaculate with beautiful decor in the main rooms with little touches from 1920s. The Dream Suite is gorgeous, with a bathroom we would love to have at home! There is a small fridge in the room with complementary drinks including 2 small bottles of wine which is a nice touch. We were also surprised by a card and a beautiful bouquet of flowers for our anniversary which was not expected but very much appreciated. Breakfast is a treat - fresh furit beautifully presented ...and the Eggs Benedict with trout was amazing! All in all a perfect place to stay in Berwick - highly recommended! And if you can...stay longer than 1 night...we wish we had!

We stayed here for one night and could have easily stayed forever! David & Pam are wonderful , helpful and friendly hosts and the accommodation is excellent. We stayed in the Red room, which was lovely - well decorated, comfortable and with a fab shower. Little extra touches, such as robes, wine and chocolates in your room and tea & cake (homemade) on arrival sum up the whole place.... they really cant do enough for their guests.
Breakfast was out of this world.... I cant find the words to do it justice.
Would definitely recommend and would go out of my way to return.... a true gem
