“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2014

Had 3 night stay at Beadnell Towers with friends. Had selected premium rooms which were very spacious and comfortable. Beadnell Towers is situated in a quiet village nice to return to after a hectic day visiting the attractions and rugged beauty of the Northumberland coast. Breakfasts were good with a combination choice. Had two evening meals there and the food was delicious. There is a pub side to the hotel as well decorated with an eclectic mix of items, good to chill in after a good meal in the restaurant. Beadnell Towers is situated within easy reach of Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick, Lindisfarne, Craster, Newton by the Sea and the wonderful National Trust property Cragside. We can recommend a stay at Beadnell Towers and plan to stay there again.

Extremely friendly owners and staff; everyone was a delight to chat to. They always showed an interest in what we'd done during the day. We have felt at home each and every time we've stayed there. Meals are always something to look forward. It's a wonderful place to stay.

This was our second stay but we have had numerous meals there and have never been disappointed. Our room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our short break. We were well looked after by the friendly staff and when the bar area was very busy as there was a christening we were offered a table in the restaurant and staff checked several times that meals etc were ok. We would highly recommend this hotel and will be back later this year.

Visited Beadnell Towers on 29/04/2014 for a ore-mothers day evening meal. The table was pre booked for 8pm and we arrived shortly before. On arrival a man said 'Have you booked?' no real welcome. We were told our table would have to be laid and to go to the bar which we did. We ordered drinks and waited a while, and then had to ask the bar staff if our table was ready, they said it was and pointed it out but made no attempt to help to carry the drinks over. We then sat at the table which had no menus on it for 15 minutes despite staff going backwards and forwards to serve tables in close proximity before having to ask for menus
Again we had to ask if out food would be ready soon as we'd waited 40 minutes and there were people who came in after us getting served theirs.
Whilst eating two of our party ran out of drinks and weren't asked if they wanted anymore and we weren't once asked if our meals were ok.

The pub was very busy and I understand that sometimes you need to wait a little longer to get your meal/drinks etc.I have no problem with that if the staff are courteous and keep you updated and make sure you have drinks.

The food (when it arrived) was a different story, it was delicious! We had one steak and ale pie. two cod with cheese and prawns and a Nicoise Fritatta. The food was extremely good and there was plenty of it. I would certainly recommend eating here.

This experience wouldn't put us off returning I just hope that these comments are read and taken on board so that it doesn't happen again. The customer experience left a lot to be desired.

The Sunday roasts here are consistently good, have eaten here for Sunday lunch on many occasions and the food is always good quality and the service very efficient. The portions are decent size although i personally would have like more veg and potatoes but I am sure if I had asked they would have obliged as all of the staff are attentive to your needs. Definitely be back again when we are in the area, only wish this was my local.

We have just had a fabulous weekend break staying at this wonderful hotel (stayed 7-9/3/14 in room 3). The room was huge, with an enormous, luxuriously, comfy bed - it was the best nights sleep we have ever had! The food was divine (there is just no other word to describe it adequately). Nothing was too much trouble for the very attentive staff. The location was great, near to a lovely beach, with lots of places to visit within easy reach. Can't wait to return.
