Stayed at Beadnell Towers recently for two nights. Despite a mix up, my fault, with our booking, the manager was extremely helpful and calm and facilitated us. Our room was lovely and spacious. The food was lovely, particularly the fish stew. Fresh fish, and wonderfully aromatic. As for the cheese cake... yummy. The staff, particularly the lady serving breakfast in the morning were cheerful and helpful, despite being very busy. The hotel had a lovely quirky atmosphere and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Beadnell Towers after a wedding There was a large party of 14 and a few of our party arrived a few minutes before check in and were told very rudely that there was no way they could check in before 2 o clock we arrived to be met by the rudest man ever who said curtly to the person who had booked the rooms" so you are the one who has caused this trouble" he wasn't joking. I replied" no she is the one who has brought all of this money to your hotel "He then complained that nobody had told him of a change we had made we said whoever took the phone call was to blame We went to the bar for a drink my nephew was watching the telly when this person turned it over because he was wanted to watch the cricket 'we asked if he could order a taxi no that's impossible because there s a wedding on was the reply. He managed to order one ..Now for the service at breakfast it was terrible we were ordered to sit at a table set for the large party whether we wanted to or not by who we think who was the owners wife my brother who had went in earlier than us and had sat on a table for two got told " you should not have sat there now I have to set another table

when we asked for another cup she told us there is enough of everything on the table even though there wasn't. the orders were mixed up the milk was sour What a shambles the rooms were clean but need an update The young lady helping to serve breakfast was very pleasant and helpful and so was the girl who showed us to our room even the lady washing the floor had a smile for everyone. BEADNELL TOWERS MORE LIKE FAULTY TOWERS .

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your stay at the Beadnell Towers
We take our guest observations very seriously, therefore if a guest review is found to be unfair or deliberately misleading we will of course respond.

The time allocated for guests to check into their accommodation is after 2.00pm; several members of this particular party arrived at 1.00pm and unfortunately were unable to gain access to their rooms as the housekeepers had not quite finished. It was explained to the early guests that if they had asked for an earlier check in time in advance of arrival, every attempt would have been made to meet their request. This explanation appeared to be satisfactory and as there were no dissatisfied comments or complaints, it was assumed that all persons present were content with our explanation; in fact the mood of the party appeared to be very jovial.

An introduction was then made to the guest who had booked several of the rooms, a warm greeting was provided and a light hearted remark made which was intended to be good humoured ‘so you are the troublemaker’ and in no way meant to upset or cause offence.

A member of the same party asked if we could book a taxi, which we managed successfully. An explanation was provided to this guest in view of the time he waited while we contacted our local taxi firms. 'We are a very small coastal village and therefore taxis need to be booked well in advance as there are only a couple of cars who are very busy over the summer months providing a service to wedding guests and holiday makers, therefore they become booked up very quickly’. The guest appeared to be happy with our service.

Regarding the remarks relating to the television in our bar area. Several gentlemen asked if they could watch a cricket match, the rest of the clients in the bar were asked if this was acceptable, only one gentleman mentioned that he preferred horse racing but did not have a problem with cricket. There were no complaints.

A couple of guests from the same party asked if they could sit together during breakfast therefore the breakfast table plan was implemented in accordance with their request and one long table to sit 14 set up.
As usual when guests arrive for breakfast they are guided to their pre allocated table. Four guests from the same wedding party when shown to their shared table decided to sit on another table for four away from the main table. During breakfast service the same guest who had originally organised the booking, interrupted the service of another guest of the hotel to ask for additional cups and saucers, they were politely directed to the existing extra four place settings on the same table. The same guest remarked very loudly that the milk was off; the milk was immediately replaced even though several other members of the same party had used the same milk and when asked all said that their milk was fine.

Regarding the comments concerning our bedrooms, our 4 star accreditation via Visit Britain was renewed in May 2013. The number of stars gives an indication of the general quality of the furnishings, décor and ambience. The more stars awarded-the higher the level of quality. The assessors stay overnight as a ‘mystery guest’ to give them the opportunity to test aspects of the guest experience such as a welcome, the comfort of the bed, quality of the furnishings, the food and the cleanliness

Visiting the area with family group and a 3year old. Good kids menu and veggie menu. Fantastic fish menu. Great Sunday lunch. Very busy popular pub, would recommend booking. Very friendly staff. Portions a little on the large side, but staff happily made me a doggy bag to take away. Best pub in Beadnell.

Ive been here a couple of times on trips up north and have had a fantastic meal both times. The food is great and well presented. There is something for all budgets. The bar however isn't really a bar, its just somewhere to get a drink because the whole place is basically a restaurant. The beer wasn't good either.

We stayed 3 nights, the food was very good and all locally sourced. The staff and owners were all very friendly and helpful. We found the stairs to the 2nd floor a bit of a problem and the room needed updating. The room spoilt what would have been a good choice of hotel for location and convenience.

Thank you for review. The comments you made regarding the team, service & our locally sourced food are appreciated & we are pleased you enjoyed your food.

The room you stayed in for 3 nights was redecorated in February 2013. The bed & furnishings were renewed in October 2012. I am very disappointed you commented on the quality of the room. We realise that all guests have different tastes & opinions regarding furnishings but we are sorry you felt it spoilt your stay with us

You booked the room on Booking.com All the information regarding the room, images, dimensions & access to the room via stairs are displayed very clearly on the booking website.

If you stay with us again please contact us directly.
Thanks you

We ate here on the last night of our holiday. Had a seat in the bar area which was great. The choice on the menu was extensive and found it hard to choose. The meal was superb, freshly made, all fresh produce and delicious would thoroughly recommend. The sauce on my chicken dish was the best I have ever tasted. The sweets are delicious also. Great childrens menue too. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food we had. Dinner for 4 adults, 2 children with drinks. £135.00 felt this was very good value owing to the high standard of the food. Would recommend and will definately return next year.

The rooms could with refresh and the hotel a little investment but this isnt a branded chain of Hotels. It has a lovely individual charm and atmosphere, a place which has housed travellers of all types over the centuries. The welcome is warm , the service genuine and the rooms are comfortable. Its a great base for the area, the beautiful beach is only a short walk away, the shops at Seahouses a short drive and a few miles more and you can really be into the heart of this beautiful region. Have a walk around the village with its historic buildings , a churchyard which tells of many fishing tradegies and the Craster Arms selling some tasty local ales. We didnt eat at the Hotel but maybe should have as every local encountered readily told how good the food was. Breakfast was good and hearty and I really enjoyed the Craster Kippers.

Room Tip: Try the kippers for breakfast- superb way to start the day.
