We stayed 3 nights, the food was very good and all locally sourced. The staff and owners were all very friendly and helpful. We found the stairs to the 2nd floor a bit of a problem and the room needed updating. The room spoilt what would have been a good choice of hotel for location and convenience.

Thank you for review. The comments you made regarding the team, service & our locally sourced food are appreciated & we are pleased you enjoyed your food.

The room you stayed in for 3 nights was redecorated in February 2013. The bed & furnishings were renewed in October 2012. I am very disappointed you commented on the quality of the room. We realise that all guests have different tastes & opinions regarding furnishings but we are sorry you felt it spoilt your stay with us

You booked the room on Booking.com All the information regarding the room, images, dimensions & access to the room via stairs are displayed very clearly on the booking website.

If you stay with us again please contact us directly.
Thanks you
Mick Colvin

We ate here on the last night of our holiday. Had a seat in the bar area which was great. The choice on the menu was extensive and found it hard to choose. The meal was superb, freshly made, all fresh produce and delicious would thoroughly recommend. The sauce on my chicken dish was the best I have ever tasted. The sweets are delicious also. Great childrens menue too. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food we had. Dinner for 4 adults, 2 children with drinks. £135.00 felt this was very good value owing to the high standard of the food. Would recommend and will definately return next year.

The rooms could with refresh and the hotel a little investment but this isnt a branded chain of Hotels. It has a lovely individual charm and atmosphere, a place which has housed travellers of all types over the centuries. The welcome is warm , the service genuine and the rooms are comfortable. Its a great base for the area, the beautiful beach is only a short walk away, the shops at Seahouses a short drive and a few miles more and you can really be into the heart of this beautiful region. Have a walk around the village with its historic buildings , a churchyard which tells of many fishing tradegies and the Craster Arms selling some tasty local ales. We didnt eat at the Hotel but maybe should have as every local encountered readily told how good the food was. Breakfast was good and hearty and I really enjoyed the Craster Kippers.

Room Tip: Try the kippers for breakfast- superb way to start the day.

Everything about this Hotel was top notch! When I originally called from the USA to book a room, I immediately knew I had picked the right Hotel. The owner, Michael Colvin, was very helpful and personable. When I emailed before our trip to verify our reservation, I received a very prompt and friendly reply. The building and the grounds are very well kept and polished, and it's only a five minute walk to the beach. Our room was very updated, comfortable, and clean, and had lots of space for the three of us. The restaurant was five star with an amazing menu choice. The breakfast that was included had a varied selection, and even featured salmon on top of the typical English breakfast items. Many of the locals come to dinner at the hotel because the food is so exceptional. The wait staff were all very friendly, and allowed us to stay and talk at length after our meal, and we didn't feel rushed. I have traveled overseas about 25 times, and The Beadnell Towers is probably my favorite Hotel of all time. I liked everything about this place, including the reasonable price!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 8 upstairs, and had a lovely view of the ocean in the distance. This room also had...

Our second year in a row in Beadnell and we once again tried all the local eateries. The food here is well cooked and tasty and we love the fact they use local produce and suppliers. The place definitely wasn't as busy as last June, so we were surprised that service seemed quite slow, but the delicious food was well worth the wait.

Had 2 meals at the Beadnell Towers this holiday and as on previous visits had an excellent meal, with friendly and efficient service. It can be very busy especially at weekends so booking is an advantage if you want to sit in the restaurant but they serve the same menu in the bar areas if you just want to turn up.

We booked a table here on the last night of our holiday in Northumberland. We were staying in Beadnell so looked for somewhere local. Rang and booked the night before and when we arrived they had a nice table ready for us. The setting is comfy and cosy with lots of interesting nick nacks dotted around the place (crocodile head, sarcophagus, and jack skellington to name a few!) which added to the character of the place

We ordered drinks and had a good look at the menu. The service was excellent and we had a number of different servers throughout the night and they were all great. Attentive and polite, checking everything was okay.

We ordered a variety of foods and enjoyed them all - everyone in our party loved what they had and it was nice to try some local flavours. The crab tart was very good as was the lamb, fish and gammon. Some great desserts and coffees finished off a brilliant meal. We all said what a great night we had had here and it made a refreshing change from the usual pub chains we have visited in the past. Would happily go back when in the area again - if you're around this area book a table and enjoy.
