“informative and interesting”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

A very good free entry video about grace darlings story with many interesting , personal belongings and unusual artifacts on show. Building is situated in the town across from the churchyard and a panoramic viewing room is situated in the upstairs of the museum. The RNLI shop is well stocked and staff very pleasant and friendly and eager to answer any queries.

“worth the travel”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

we had come up to visit the musuem from north wales and well worth it as a RNLI member it was nice to visit the village where Grace Darling lived and died, the museum has all you need to know about the live she lead.A walk around the village you see the house where she was born and everything to do with the rescue she and her father undertook all them years ago and in such a small boat.Across the road is the grave with now its new cover over the graveand lovely views to the castle well worth a visit and the ladies who are so helpful too. the only problem is parking in the village it can be a problem.
