I visited as a photographer. So there before sunrise and there for sunset. A brilliant location and a beautiful location. One of my favourite places in the UK.
Great for walkers and dogs and families. Just a perfect location.

This beach takes some beating and is possibly the best beach in the north east. Miles of clean, golden sand stretch out under the wonderful Bamburgh Castle and on a fine day the Farne Islands can be seen. It really is a pleasure to see such a clean beach and a visit is most definitely worthwhile.

A superb beach that stretches for "miles". Clean, soft sands and the sea goes out a long way providing plenty of flat play areas The dunes are a fantastic adventure land for children to play. Only let down is the lack of toilet facilities (typical British problem)

The beach is one of the longest Ive seen in the UK. Width wise as well once the waters have receded the beach is quite big. Nice views of the castle & lighthouse & other islands from the beach. Quite a few sand dunes at the edge of the beach.
