Description: The Treehouse is one of the most magical and unique restaurants to be found anywhere in the world. It’s high up in the treetops, with a roaring log fire in the centre of the room and trees growing through the floor. Most importantly, the locally-inspired food is delicious. Always featuring local fish and seafood, meats from Northumberland’s farmlands and other regional specialities, the Treehouse Restaurant menus highlight local quality, taste and change throughout the seasons. There’s a great wine list, a good range of beers and regular live music. For a family dining experience that you’ll all enjoy, a great night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two, there’s nowhere quite like it. We always recommend booking ahead for lunch or dinner.

You will pay more than you would in the majority of restaurants in the area. You will struggle to pronounce half the menu (never mind have any inkling as to half the ingredients without reference to google). Yet the location and ambiance make it a true evening to cherish so the only way you can walk out of here disappointed is if you anticipated chicken and chips in a box at knockdown prices.

The service we experienced was outstanding and whilst the menu is not the most expansive, that's to be expected when any place is aspiring for fine cuisine. The food itself may not have quite matched the surroundings but was still impressive and with good company and music we enjoyed a most memorable evening.

a truly great place to eat ...... the venue , service , atmosphere and food made it a really pleasurable experience .

It's nice to go and eat where the staff put you under no pressure to finish and leave

the food is not cheap but it's not expensive either - we paid £80 for pre meal bread and oils 2 starters , 2 mains , 1 desert and drinks but the quality was excellent

just remember to book in advance as it's not too big and they don't put pressure on people to leave

I have always wanted to dine here, so we arranged to stay locally (Eshott Hall) especially for the occasion. It certainly didnt disappoint. The meal was fabulous and the service was excellent. The whole experience was magical. The cost was £75 for both of us for pre dinner drinks in the Potting shed, artisan breads and oils, starters, main courses with extra sides, cheese board and drinks so I didnt think that was too bad. Thank you for a memorable experience.
