As before, we stayed for 2 nights en route to Scotland. Superbly equipped in a very accessible location with wonderful service. As we arrived late afternoon, we were met with 'as it is a little late for a pot of tea, would you prefer a glass of red wine?'. Superb breakfasts and the bonus of home made cake. What more could one ask for.

Room Tip: Oops, there isn't a fitness centre

Very comfortable, lovely food, very calm and peaceful place to stay. Many kind and thoughtful touches that makes this a retreat and a treat.

I would prefer to keep this place a secret, because it is so special

We would highly recommend staying here. Philly made us very welcome - fresh cakes each day and a glass of wine. Beautiful room & delicious breakfast. Everything had been well thought out to make our stay enjoyable.

I wish we was as fortunate with the Lottery as we have been at discovering the Redfoot Lea, from our arrival to our departure Philippa & Andrew were what you would expect from perfect hosts but you don't often receive from some places, information on local pubs & restaurants, glass of wine & home baked cake just added to a lovely stay, we like to have short breaks & we have stayed in some nice places & met some lovely people but the Redfoot is at the top of our list. We will definitely return there is so much to see & do in the area and the Redfoot is the perfect place to stay.

Room Tip: We didn't see the other rooms but we stayed on the ground floor in the main building, just off t...

I have stayed at Redfoot Lea several times and I like everything about it. You cannot get a better welcome from Philippa & Andrew Bell and their hospitality really know no bounds. There is an offer of a G&T or a glass of wine on arrival to freshly baked cake in the room. There are always smiles and laughter and a generous offer of help and advice down to ministrations when I wasn't feeling very well. You can't ask for better hosts or a better room! I can highly recommend Redfoot Lea to anyone visiting Northumerland. By the way, the location is great too as it is very near the A1 going north or south.

Room Tip: The Yellow Room is really nice. Bright and airy!

We would highly recommend (and already have been!) to anyone thinking of staying in the area. Such a welcoming b&b and the attention to detail in making your stay enjoyable is of a very high standard. A great start to the day is a wonderful breakfast, with lot's of tip's on great places to visit. Coming back to a slice of delicious cake at tea time was a real treat! A very quiet, peaceful place to stay.
