Nice pub food, I had the butternut squash lasagne which was really tasty and the other half had fish and chips which was absolutely massive! Decent value for money and a nice little find, only down side was there wasn't much atmosphere

Good range of real ales, mainly from the Alnwick brewery on our visit - "canny bevvy" a good pint. Prices not cheap for a local brew (I thought a lot of the price was down to transport costs?) at £3 or more but pretty average I suppose. Food is quite good - I had sausage with black pudding mash in a red wine gravy - very nice indeed and at a tenner is competitively priced. Good local with friendly staff

Just had lunch here and it was fantastic. Would recomend the Whitby Scampi & Chips and the Penne Mafiosa pasta. Both were amazing. Great value and would recomend to others.

A nicely refurbished old pub, with a range of seating areas, although the toilets need attention. There is an excellent food menu and it is well-priced (lunch for two with drinks and coffee was about £18). The staff are friendly and enthusiastic and service is quick and efficient.

Looks small from the outside but nice and roomy once inside. Good fast service and great fish and chips!
