I love this place, it never fails to disappoint. Lots of lovely new things since my last visit earlier in the summer, started my Christmas shopping!!
Excellent tea and cakes, as always, friendly, attentive staff, but boy oh boy the goods on sale, retail heaven!

The coffee was very very good and not too expensive, the setting was nice, although seating was limited both inside and outside.

However, Eleanor's Byre lets itself down with its strange character. The 'gift/arts' shop takes up a big part of the cafe, however the items on sale were really very expensive, lots of expensive socks, belts, even vase worth over £75. It all seemed slightly out of place.

Overall good coffee, but only worth visiting if you happen to be going past.

We were blessed with Eleanor's Byre being near to our campsite so we went twice. It is gorgeous and the coffee is excellent as other reviewers have said. The cakes tried by my husband were out of the ordinary such as parsnip and lime were gorgeous and there was more traditional flavours too. It was sunny both days so we sat out in very pleasant garden area and there was water and lead posts for the dogs which was very helpful. The shop was full of nice things. Highly recommended.

The coffee was indeed excellent and if I was reviewing for just the coffee it would get 5 *****

The cake(s) were good - but not special, and the choice was fairly limited.

The ambiance was good and the byre was bright and cheerful, with attentive staff.

If Tripadvsor provided a good rating facility then in fairness I would use that - as while I wouldn't rate it very good - it is better than average.

I called here with a friend as part of a birthday celebration. The cakes are wonderful - moist, flavoursome and excellent value. Two latte coffees were professionally prepared and served and the gift shop has a delightful range of really unusual items for sale. The atmosphere and ambience left us both feeling really relaxed and at ease. Top marks all round!
