Booked for 8, tables set for 7.I told staff on entry we were now a party of 9.We were shown to our non spacious tables set for 7 and left to ponder, we asked for a more suitable table as we had to seek out the waitress and was told we can't cater for you, Not helpful as this a celebration of our friend still fighting regardless of her condition. So dissatisfied with our first visit.

Sister restaurant to Cafe Tirrano in Alnwick. Difference here is you can book a table. Interior is a little dated but menu much more extensive than sister restaurant. Prices very reasonable and quality of food very good. Service was good with an attentive waitress who checked appropriately that everything was to our satisfaction. Two courses ( including an excellent £14 duck breast) plus two drinks plus coffee for two people came to just over £50. Return definitely on cards when next in Alnwick

Sister-in-law booked here for our anniversary. What an excellent meal! It was one of the best Italian meals I've had outside Italy. Starters excellent and the main course Strozzapretti de Mare was superb.
Service wasn't fast but atmosphere very laid back and the food tasted newly cooked. Waitress came and apologised for the delays and we had a lovely evening.
Would recommend for a lovely Italian laid back evening out

Attractive enough upstairs restaurant and the overall the choice and quality of the starters and mains was very good and well cooked - ok it's not blow you away standard but it was tasty and satisfying. Good wines, nice personal service - but the desserts were bought in and pretty disappointing. A definite come-down from the mains - and not an Italian in sight! I'd eat here again but I'd go for starters and mains and skip pudding.

A varied menu of italien food included daily specials which were a little over priced. I chose a sea food pasta with scallops and monk fish which was very minimal on the latter two ingredients. The staff and service were very pleasant and the kids enjoyed it too.
