Just returned from a short trip to Northumberland where we stayed at the Reighamsyde guesthouse in Alnwick. It's a lovely relaxed place run by a husband and wife team (Linda and Kevin) who couldn't

do enough for us - it was like meeting a pair of long lost friends. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the views were beautiful and not only is Kevin and accomplished photographer and artist, he is also a

veritable mine of information about the local area. We'll definitely be going back.

We stayed at Reighamsyde for 3 nights from 28th July on our way to Edinburgh. Kevin was a most welcoming host and gave us plenty of advice on places to visit and eat. We had a pleasant room overlooking the garden with views of the fields beyond. The breakfasts were nicely cooked by Kevin's wife Linda and there was plenty of it!! This is a homely b and b close to the centre of Alnwick.Would recommend visiting Alnwick Garden and Castle. Also a trip to Holy Island is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Room 3 overlooks garden to rear of house

We had travelled from Oban to Edinburgh and wanted a break on the way home when we spotted Kevin and Linda,s Oasis . The house is perfectly situated for a small walk into town to all the attractions of Alnwick castle and Gardens .. And if you have historical tastes the local history of the border battles with medieval Scotland . The local eateries cater for all tastes ...please try the Art House , need to book , and the Doddington cheese board . Kevin and Linda offer an exceptional standard of bed and breakfast , the breakfasts are immense , well done Linda . Bedroom 3 was extremely spacious and the bed was a dream to sleep in . The rooms in the house were spacious and bery comfortable ..We,ll be coming back again , thank you so much for your friendly and genuine care whilst we stayed over .
Brian and Joan ...

Room Tip: Book room 3 for the extra views of the hills and on a good day the sea ..

Just stayed the one night as we were going to a wedding in Alnwick. Kevin was our host as his wife Lynda was away but he could not have been more welcoming. It was nice to stay in a "traditional" B&B with a personal touch. How many hotels have given you a lift to your reception? Kevin did it was only 5 minutes away but that is what sets this place apart.

We stayed in the back bedroom, very spacious with great views to the back.

Thanks again Kevin, top fella!

We were 'doing ' Alnwick Castle and Gardens with our daughter and her three children. Kevin and Linda supplied a perfect home from home for us and we were very well looked after. We were able to leave the car there and walk into town and the castle which was great for the children. We really appreciated the generous breakfasts and at the end of the day having the
guest lounge to chill out in was bliss All in all a lovely weekend break and many thanks to
Kevin and Linda for their part in making it such. Clark family, Ayr.
