We spent four nights at Aydon House and couldn't fault it. Jane and Arthur were lovely and the rooms, breakfast etc were brilliant. It is only a ten minute walk to the town and Alnwick Castle so we could leave the car in the free car park at the back. The room was clean and there were fresh towels every day, fresh milk was provided daily and there was plenty of tea, coffee etc. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if were ever in the area, highly recommended. We had the room at the back overlooking the car park and it was very quiet, I usually bring ear plugs as I am a very light sleeper and I didn't use them once.

If you are looking for a good value, clean and friendly B & B in Alnwick, Northumberland, look no further than Aydon House. Jane and Authur the proprietors cannot do enough to make you visit a delight. When it comes to the thoughtful touches nothing has been forgotten, from the tea and coffee in your bedroom with fresh milk every day, a great selection of books and magazines in the lounge and a wholesome and delicious breakfast to start your day to name but a few.
Alnwick is a delightful town with the not to be missed Alnwick Castle and Gardens, which my wife and I decided was one of the finest examples we have ever seen. The town itself has a good variety of eating places for lunch and dinner. Make no mistake if you are looking for a quality and friendly B & B, you have just found it.

I had a wonderful time at Aydon House. Lovely room, excellent breakfast, extremely friendly hosts - I can absolutely recommend it for a relaxing holiday. Both our hosts provided us with helpful information regarding what to do in the area and how to make the most of our stay.

We stayed her for two nights at the beginning of June 2013. The rooms were cosy, cute and clean, breakfast was lovely. Arthur gave us a very warm welcome and made sure we were well looked after throughout our stay. I would definitely return. Our room was on the road, I took earplugs and slept perfectly.

- The only thing I would say is that the Internet would not work from our bedroom.

We stayed for four nights, and it was absolutely fabulous. The B&B is very close to the center of town, and everything is in easy walking distance. Arthur is wealth of knowledge, and not only does he have an answer for any question, he is spot-on when it comes to making recommendations. Whatever advice he offers - take it! Our room was huge and spotless, fresh towels every day, and breakfast was fantastic. Easy parking in the back of the house. Plenty of amenities. It is no wonder that this B&B oftentimes is fully booked. We would go back in a heartbeat.

I stayed here with 3 friends for 2 nights and we were made very welcome by Jane and Arthur. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with a supply of toiletries in the small but adequate en suite bathrooms. There is a guest sitting room too so we didn't have to sit in bedrooms when indoors. There was no traffic noise even though my room faced the main road.
Breakfasts were very substantial with a good selection of cereals and cooked food and constant supply of toast and as I have to have a very low fat diet Arthur made sure they had skimmed milk for me for my breakfast cereal and cups of tea.
Added touches to make our stay comfortable was being pressed to take fruit with us before we went out for the day and fresh milk in the bedrooms for our tea and coffee.
Being in a small country town it was a bonus to have a car park at the rear of the property and we found we could easily walk into the town for our evening meal and to the Alnwick Garden so we didn't need to use the car at all or worry it was parked on the roadside.

Lovely welcome and accommadation was very clean, spacious and well decorated. We had a lovely view of the garden and although on the main road, there was no sound of the traffic. Only five minutes walk into the town centre.
Nothing was too much trouble, with fresh milk in the room for tea/coffee and breakfast in very pleasant surroundings.
Would not hesitate to recommend to others, and will return in the future.
