“Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!!”

From the second we arrived we were made to feel welcome at the very comfortable, clean and cosy guest house. Tom and Audrey were fantastic especially with me being 6 months pregnant and on a very restrictive diet. Nothing was too much for them and all was done with a fantastic sense of humour. The location of Greycroft is perfect for either touring the north east coast, relaxing at the beach or gardens or doing a little exploration in the countryside. It is close enough to town that you can do without the car in the evening and yet outside it enough that you don't get any noise. We had the green room which was beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean.

We hope to go north again soon when our son is born and old enough to run around on the sand, rest assured we will be going back to the Greycroft then.

We stayed in the family room for two nights and could not fault it. It is a beautiful bright spacious room with a double and two single beds and a clean and welcoming on suite. The owners couldn't be more helpful or have made our stay any more welcoming. Their local knowledge is a great help in finding the best places in town to eat and the town itself has all the shops you could need. I would not hesitate in booking here again and again. My only regret was not staying longer. A fabulous and friendly place to stay with welcoming touches that show how much they think about their guests.

We had a very pleasant few days at greycroft, guest house. Central to Alnwick center and places of interest yet in a quiet location. We had a nicely decorated room with a comfortable bed. A congenial host served excellent food in a dining area with garden views - what could be better?

We stayed at Greycroft in the "red room" for a short break in July. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Audrey and Tom had catered for your every need and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious with a good choice of everything with excellent quality produce. The house is a beautiful building with a lovely garden to enjoy tea and biscuits on arrival. This was our first visit to Northumberland and Tom and Audrey made it a memorable one.

Tom & Audrey made our stay very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfasts were provided, but the little things such as free bottled water, local knowledge of were to eat & visit were invaluable.
Overall highly recommended.

This is one of the best B&B's we have stayed in for many a year. We could not have wished for a warmer welcome or more friendly approach. And so many helpful answers to all our questions! We have already reccommended Greycroft to several friends and will certainly return.

Greycroft really is a hidden gem. A well built house close to the centre of Alnwick (and close to Barter Books - a huge secondhand bookshop), with solid walls, and therefore very little noise. Parking was on-street right outside the house but seemed safe enough.

Our hosts (Tom & Audrey) were excellent - interested in us and our plans for the day and very caring in nature. The house seemed to run like a well oiled machine; nothing was too much trouble. We booked the family room rather late - a lovely large space with four beds (apparently to be turned into a suite in the future? - now that's a great idea because the room looks over the most beautiful garden with lots and lots of birds). It was all very clean and had a good size shower room (no bath). The bedroom furniture was made of good quality oak.

There was a small lounge for visitors with a good selection of local guide books. I would have liked a dedicated internet connection but it seemed to be a shared facility. The breakfasts were very good indeed. Orders were taken the night before and the quality of the food was outstanding as was the quantity! All in all to be recommended as the owners have worked hard to put together a really high quality B&B experience.

By the way, if you go make sure that you visit Alnwick Castle Gardens - just magnificent.
