“Pleasantly suprised”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Having heard some bad stories about Travel lodge in general I was hesitant to book this hotel chain, however, nothing else was available locally. Upon arrival we had a warm welcome.
The room was very clean and the bed sheets were clean and crisp. There was tea and coffee, kettle etc in the room but we had to ask in reception for a hairdryer.
All in all a very pleasant and comfortable night.
I will definitley look at Travel lodge again when booking rooms in the future, although I will only look for hotels marked as re-furbished.

Was very impressed with the standard of the room in which we stayed. There were two extra beds which were quite adequate for our teenage children. The bedding was clean as was the room. The location is in a service area so not the prettiest of outlooks but we only stayed one night. The American diner got very full early and we missed out because we didn't book a table. Get in early.

An excellent stay at the newly refurbished Rushden Travelodge, room was clean, airy and fresh, staff were very friendly and helpful and it was the ideal place to stay as it's right on the A45. Staff were very friendly and eager to assist which was appreciated with a young baby in tow.

Room was comfortable and very clean. Fresh towels each morning. You could get a meal from near by diner. Would stay again.

Very friendly, parking is good and the hotel is nice and clean. I found the team to be friendly and made me feel welcome. Near by there is an American Dinner which offers good food and friendly service.

A reliable chain of hotels.
Great prices if you book in advance.
Great for santa pod raceway.
Okay if your passing through, nothing much to do in evenings.,local area lacks what other towns have, entertainment is virtually non existant.
Can't wait for the local councillors to stop farming around and build the new shopping complex on the former ski centre site, once they have spent most of the money on jollies, there may be some left over for this attraction

The renovated Travelodge at Wellingborough Rushden came as a welcome surprise. The room was of a standard you could expect in a much more expensive hotel. Excellent bed. Everything spotless. You still have to remember to take shower gel etc with you and to ask politely if you want more tea and coffee but the hotel now represented outstanding value for money. The snacks on offer can never be called wonderful but they are certainly adequate for the weary traveller and available 24/7
