“Exceeded expectations!”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Family lunch for 21, aged 2-86. Went really well, and just £7.95 a head. Good friendly service, and well prepared and cooked food. Owner took great pride in showing us their coverage in Pizza and Pasta magazine awards. Lacked a bity of atmosphere, but it's always hard with a largely empty restaurant. But lunch time on 27th December - to be expected. Yes would go again.
Toilets are upstairs and seemed to be in a forgotten land, amidst the store rooms. Seem to remember the same from visit a couple of years ago. Maybe that could do with a once over.

“Great take away service!”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

Great take away sevice, delivered quickly and pizza was excellent! We couldn't fault it, the price was very reasonable too, much better value than Domino's.

“Smarmy owner, scruffy place, food very average.”
Reviewed November 28, 2012

Went with a friend to celebrate a new job as we live in Rushden. Had to wait for a table, then while waiting a couple walked in who were clearly acquaintances of the owner/manager - and they were seated immediately! Schmoozing with favourite clients while ignoring others is clearly the owner's forte, as we saw him doing it throughout the evening, which leads to a horrible smarmy atmosphere. Starter was terrible (anaemic tasteless tomatoes, a single olive, gluey fake squeezy pesto and balsamic). Main course was good and desserts were surprisingly excellent, despite being brought to table straight out of freezer and frozen solid. The restaurant is pretty scruffy and ugly and dated, dirty tablecloths, general feeling of being way behind the times on every front. Overall, decent meal but it's a million miles from being good.

“Lovely tasty food, great wine, excellent value & atmosphere”
Reviewed November 20, 2012 via mobile

We went to Venezia yesterday with friends, including my mum who is over 90. Right from the start it felt good, the atmosphere is warm and the decor is comfortable and cosy, in a big way.
We had the antipasto, olive garlic bread and the oils with Italian bread, which was lovely served with chunks of Parmesan and pickled vegetable, yum yum.
We all had different pastas and thoroughly enjoyed all our food which we enjoyed with house wines. Both red and white wines were quite delicious. The service was excellent and attentive but not too much.
We will definitely go again and hope to fit a Christmas 'do' in as they have very reasonably priced set seasonal meals.
As a final plus, parking is extremely convenient as there is a car park next door with ample spaces and the Venezia is very wheelchair friendly with a very good downstairs disabled washroom.
Thanks, we shall be back soon

“Amazing service and excellent, well presented food!”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

We have just returned from our first trip to this delightful restaurant.

From the moment we entered we received 5* service and were made to feel extremely welcome.

We all ordered various dishes from the extensive menu and none of us were disappointed. The food was extremely well presented, the portions were very generous and the taste was devine! It was our son's 15th birthday and they discretely (and unprovoked!) arranged to sing "Happy Birthday!"to him and presented him with a candle in his desert. He was slightly embarrassed but it was a memory made and a lovely touch.

We shall definitely be returning very soon. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!
