First impression is great, nicely decorated and good use of the space. Were seated on the top floor all by ourselves for most of the meal, nice and quiet. Wait staff was attentive, but not obtrusive. Our drinks were a strawberry balsamic martini (I know, sounds weird but was outstanding) and a Water Melon, wich also was very good. Starters were the fried mushrooms and melted goats cheese with pita, both were great. For mains, I had the beef with sweet potato slices and the boss had I believe a pasta with spicy sausage, also both delicious. Dessert was a flaky crust with a cold custard inside, didn't thrill us but we had already eaten so much food, that could be why. I believe the final tab was about 70GBP with tip, but we both felt the meal was worth it. The only downside I can see to this restaurant is we both felt we had ordered the best meal on the menu, and there wasn't much else on it that we would want. Hopefully their menu rotates as we would like to visit again.

Dined here on a Saturday night and was very impressed. We went to the Olive Lounge next door for a drink first and were well looked after, a member of the waiting staff came to escort us to the restaurant when our table was ready. Unfortunately our table wasn’t ready though, so we waited for about 20 minutes downstairs. We didn’t mind waiting, and we were offered drinks etc., but the waiting area is in full view of the rather kitchen, so every time a waiter went in we got a full view of the washing up boy scraping leftover food into the bin. Not exactly an appetizing start! But once we were taken to our table upstairs it was fantastic.

The staff are very friendly and attentive, the food was very good (authentic Greek/Mediterranean, but with a definite ‘easy for Brits’ feel to it). All the food and drink was reasonably priced too.

Also loved how they’ve maintain all the old-fashion character of the building. Have already booked my next visit for when friends visit next month.

We have been going to this place since it opened and have had great meals everytime. We are happy to take friends and relatives there for dinner or lunch. Rat Pack and Elvis nights are always terrific with singer Robert Craig and owner Phillipo providing cabaret. Great fun and a brilliant night out. Highly recommended

Friendly staff, good food and beautiful ambiance. It is always great to go to the Old Bakehouse; we've been there to celebrate birthdays and also just for a nice meal.

My wife and I have been going to the bake house since it opened and it's great. It's quirkily set over 3 floors and has a greek /mediteranean menu. The food is always good, the atmosphere is always great and the service is usually spot on - our waitress on our most recent visit was not of the same standard as we had experienced previously. (slower and not as attentive). But don't let this put you off.

It's worth noting the bake house has a wine bar behind it in the cobbled courtyard, which is ideal for pre or post dinner drinks.

I'd happily recommend the old bake house to anyone.
