We stayed for two nights as our friends were getting married in the hotel.

We were very impressed with our “standard double room”, it was twice the size of some standard doubles in other hotels. It was nicely appointed and very clean.

The rest of the hotel was immaculate, we didn’t use the spa facilities but word of mouth from other guests was they are great quality. The pool certainly looked clean and welcoming.

Our opinion of how the hotel ran the Wedding from a “guests” perspective, from the ceremony to the service at the Wedding Breakfast and the evening reception was that it was highly professional. All the staff were attentive and polite. The food was terrific.

The breakfast is also delicious and fresh.

Plenty of free, on-site parking available too.

We highly recommend the Kettering Park Hotel to you for a quality, relaxing stay.

Hotel has been lovely but what blew us away was the service at the restaurant. Marco is running a fabulous set of staff to a very professional high standard. He represents the restaurant so well. Emma our lovely waitress was absolutely excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. This made our experience at the hotel even better. Thankyou.

Visited for an overnight stay on the recent Bank Holiday Monday. I had visited this hotel a year ago, so was aware of its standards and the services offered.

Check in was lengthy, with the receptionist concentrating more on looking at the computer screen rather than talking or looking to us. We were asked for a pre authorisation of £50, which we provided, but was shocked to hear that if it was not used it would take upto 10 working days to return to our account!

The room was a signature room and was to a good standard, apart from the dated bathroom (nothing wrong with the offering, the décor is just dated). Nice touch with the small carton of milk. We could not find the guest information booklet; on enquiring at reception was informed that this was on the TV. The staff were saying how quiet the hotel was, so not sure why we were allocated a bedroom the furthest away from anywhere!

We visited the bar area for afternoon snacks around 4pm, to be informed that we could have nothing hot as the kitchen had ran out of gas so we opted for bread and a cheese board. We also took this opportunity to review the menus for dinner.

Visiting the bar later (8pm) we were provided with a slightly different menu to that only a few hours earlier. We were informed that the kitchen had ran out of some items due to the bank holiday. Why did they not mention this earlier? What was interesting was that the chicken on the new menu was £16.95 without vegetables but included vegetables on the chef selection menu (which was not available). I got the impression that they were trying to rip off the customers by making them pay more. We ate in the bar area as the restaurant lacked atmosphere; the food was nice but nothing amazing.

Whilst there we asked for a Baileys, but they had ran out of that. We then asked for a Cocktail but they had no lime so could not make the one we wanted. Shame they did not notice earlier as Tesco, just down the road, was open until 4pm! Whilst in the bar area we heard customers being told that the hot food finished at 9pm as it was a bank holiday. Some of these customers were only able to purchase sandwiches. We reviewed the times when we returned to our room but the information on the TV made no reference to the kitchen opening times int eh evening being different. Disappointing for an alleged 4 star establishment which should be offering a better standard of service.

Breakfast was good, as was the service. Well executed, friendly and tasty.

Our biggest laugh though was the AA sign outside the front door which only had 2 of the 4 stars lit up…. maybe it was trying to tell us something!

Room tip: Ask for a room closer to the main area else you could be walking a distance!

A much needed break from life for the day, I thoroughly enjoyed a 'Spa Day for One', including a treatment and Afternoon Tea. It was a mid week visit, so I suspect quieter than weekends or a Friday. Emma managed my booked and checked in on me during my visit to make sure everything was OK. An incredibly peaceful, indulgent and decadent day out, but so totally worth it.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff were wonderful. The room and bed were very comfortable. Selection of pillows. A fridge in the room so you can take your own wine to the room etc. Recycling bins are a nice touch. Our room had a bath and a shower which was great.
We stayed due to a family bereavement and also had the wake here. The staff were so kind and respectful. The gardens are beautiful and it was lovely to go spend time with family in the garden after the wake.
