We (party of 4) visited The Royal Bengal after reading the positive reviews on Trip Adviser. After being seated we were asked what drinks we would all like, after a while we again had to reorder our drinks. Our starters arrived with no problem although the onion bhaji's were cold, but all very tasty. When the main arrived the waiter fumbled a little with finding space on our table for the hot plates, which were broken! Again one of our dishes was cold, another dish was described as medium spice but was way too hot for medium, we asked for the cold dish to be reheated, which certainly was, as when returned to us it was volcanic hot!!. The service wasn't the greatest, nobody returned to our table to ask if all was ok, if anything else was required. The noise level was very very loud and we felt a little uncomfortable. The decor needs a refresh as its stuck in the early 90's. The positive is it was very cheap, so you do defiantly get what you pay for. Sorry Royal Bengal, we won't be returning. Oh forgot to mention.... The menu needs a good spell checking and maybe wipe clean the laminated menu once in a while!!
