Description: Vivo is a 70 seat restaurant providing an intimate, fun atmosphere for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday. Two courses are available every lunchtime and Monday to Thursday evening until 7pm for just £9.95 And a chef's special menu is also available most weeks. Our A La Carte menu is available every night and is changed twice per year. Our restaurant is family-run and children are very welcome at any time - a children's menu and high chair facilities are available. We also will prepare any vegetarian dish that we have ingredients in stock for and have gluten-free food available too. Please note that our wood-fired pizza oven is not usually available at lunchtimes - except by special request for large parties.

Great service, great food and great value for money! Friendly staff every time we've been in, no matter which person we're served by. Excellent food with a large variety on the menu.

We went to the restaurant having discovered an on line 2 for 1 voucher and thought we would give it a try.

The restaurant was quite quiet, it being midweek and fairly late, however the welcome was warm and we were given a nice table in a corner.

Both starters and mains were really good, authentic Italian dishes and the pizza was from a wood fired oven - we were to full for desserts.

The 2 for 1 offer has done the trick - we will definitely go back and have no problem paying full price - which were very reasonable anyway.

Great food, terrific wine list and lovely atmosphere. We have visited as a family group for lunch (they only have one baby chair which could be a problem as it is popular at weekends. Luckily we took our own soft seat) also as a couple for a romantic dinner and with friends at one of the entertainment evenings. All good, but the recession means customers are thin on the ground apart from on the special evenings which shows the place off as at its best - buzzing.

We first started coming to this restaurant under its previous management and it was always a good meal then. When it became Vivo, we stayed loyal to the location and gave it a go (the original owner set up in a new location but it felt more like a cafe than a restaurant and we much preferred the setting that Vivo now occupies).
First impressions were good and we have been on repeated trips since and it seems to get better every time we go (or they give us special treatment now classed as "regulars" !!)
Food is always first class, the service excellent and the atmosphere is spot on.
Whenever we feel like a good meal out, this is always our first choice destination and it never fails to deliver.
Just for the record, for steak lovers, you can't beat the "filleto rossini" and my wife swears by the "pollo picante" for chicken fans.
For desert ....... Creme brûlée every time.

We had to wait a long time to get a drink, then we were told that the beer that was on the menu they didnt do, We ordered bottled beers and didn't get them poured into the glasses which was unusual, we had to wait a while for our order to be taken, we had the calamari and antipasto which was very good. I had the lasagne which was good and my husband had the veal which was tough and the sauce tasted of caramel. Next time will try the pizzas.
