“Perfect relaxing get away”

Peaceful, quaint, charming: a true gem! The manager couldn't be more accommodating. We only live 2 miles down the road, but it was a perfect night away.
The three course dinner was beautiful, traditional home cooked food. The breakfast was small, but perfect after a bill meal the night before. The Room was well equipted, with a DVD, lovely shower and very nicely decorated. Would recommend this to anyone.

There were lots of things that were very good about The Granary - The quiet location in a little valley, tucked away from any busy roads, the staff were pleasant and attentive, they were helpful when we asked questions about the area and made us feel most welcome. We enjoyed a flavoursome and well presented evening meal and the morning cooked breakfast was well cooked too, not greasy at all. Plenty of positives.

The bedroom was not quite of the standard that I expect for the price and I suspect that it has not been fitted with hotel quality (ie heavy use) fittings. The shower head was slightly broken, the shower cubicle was small though it was in a large room, water flooded onto the floor even when the shower door was shut, there was only one towel rail for two towels, there was no bath mat, there were not enough electrical sockets, the bed was squeaky.

A Mother's Day treat for us all as we had afternoon tea at the Granary, we enjoyed a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, freshly made scones with clotted cream, strawberry jam and fabulous cakes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating with our 2 year old offering him toys to play with whilst we all enjoyed our tea. A beautiful setting, and we will definitely be returning again. I would highly recommend you visit for what ever reason you can find.

Stayed at The Granary at Fawsley on the 16th of February on a dinner bed and breakfast rate and was extremely impressed.

The proprietors Glen and Donna were on hand throughout our stay to ensure we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Glen at the reception desk with a smile and shown to our room, No.4, which was very modern in decor, but in keeping with the converted stables, had the old style wooden beams and doors.

Pre dinner drinks in the lounge above the dining room was quaint and relaxing, while Dinner was very tasty, all home made and freshly cooked to order by
Chef Glen and the service was by Donna, who looked after us in such a friendly and unobtrusive manner, unlike a large hotel we had visited on Valentines Day.

The wine list had a lovely bottle of white Zinfandel, that it was rude to not order another one to see if it was as nice - it was!!

It was lovely to wake up in the countryside and to have a look around the grounds, before sampling a freshly cooked breakfast, with plenty of choice of yoghurts, cereals, Danish pastries and fresh fruit, for those healthy options.

All in all, it was a pleasant, relaxing stay with friendly, personal service and I look forward to returning in the near future.

We stayed at the Granary for two nights, friday and staurday, and found the experience wonderful. The welcome by John was very friendly and helpful. The room was very good and suited perfectly. I know that the reviews were mixed but we could find no fault. We would recommend a visit. You have to accept it is in the middle of a working country estate and therefore quiet. It does mean that there are places to walk, Fawsley Hall a short drive and some villages close by.

We will be returning as soon as practicable and even comteplating a smal family event in the near future.

Room Tip: All I can say is that room 3 is bigger than room 4!

Had a great New Years eve at the Granary. Tidy clean rooms in a idilic country setting. The cooked breakfast was just the ticket after a few shandies the night before ;-)

We are a family of four and the room was only a Double and Twin but they were happy for us to bring our own mattress. The rooms were a good size and comfortable enough.
