First off, we have been to other branches of this chain before so know roughly what to expect.
When this branch first opened, not that long ago, we had a meal which was OK but nothing spectacular. Well the novelty has well and truly worn off.
There were two of us dining and we decided to have a sharer starter (chile nachos). This was just about warm and reasonably tasty. The Corned Beef Hash main course however was very poor. Cooling as if it had been sat a while and thoroughly dried out. The "wet" chips were hard with very little "wet" about them. The other main, Tennessee chicken, well they must bread their chickens hard there as this was touch as anything. Again accompanied by not so wet chips.
Service is fairly non-plussed attitude and I would have at least expected them to ask why so much of the mains remained on the plate when they eventually collected them.
Only saving grace was the wine which OK if a little pricey for what it was.
In the end this place is really just an overpriced burger joint poorly staffed. Which is a shame as the original in Northampton is pretty good.
