“Comfortable and friendly”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Went on a Saturday night in January. Huge Car Park at the back of the pub! A covered area at the back with a heater for smokers - although we didn't use it. It felt like going back in time as the interior was more traditional - a welcome change from the more plastic pubs with sticky tables! Ordered two main courses of the specials menu Gammon Hock and Somerset Chicken. Both came with a choice of potato or chips. The quality was very good - both cooked well in very tasty sauces. Quantity was a bit disappointing - the amount of meat in both dishes was rather less that expected for the £8 plus price. So in terms of value it was good on taste but not so great on substance. The menu is very comprehensive and versatile though - a wide selection of choices - particularly for vegetarians. Will aim to visit again and try something else. Overall, excellent and friendly service and a comfortable and cosy atmosphere.

“Lovely food, great atmosphere, great place”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Twelve friends went for a Christmas outing to the Red Lion. The landlord made us very welcome, the beer was good, the food was excellent and the value superb.
We all had a great meal, not one complaint, the beer was very good, the wine even better and the overall bill was excellent value. We will definitely be going back again.

“Lovely Olde World Country Inn”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

It is rear to find a country inn that gives great value for money. The Red Lion in Crick village ticks all the boxes. Great food, excellent beer with a warm a friendly welcome. The menu has something for all tastes at very reasonable prices. Three friends and myself visited for lunch recently and were so impressed that we will look forward to our next visit. The liver and onion casserole was delicious and home made with a good choice of fresh veg. The home made steak pie was also equally as good. and only £5.00.for the main courses. the beautiful décor takes you back to another age. I would highly recommend The Red Lion. It is a real country inn, a real gem.

“Excellent Steak and friendly owners”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

The steak is always excellent and a great price - as is the wine! They don't do starters however and the decor is a bit dated but the landlord is ever so nice. Its also lovely that they also let dogs in!

“No looker but great heart”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Doesn't look much from the outside but is a little gem once you get in.
Fabulous menu all at incredibly fair prices. My wife had scampi, chips & salad for £5 which was as good as other places where you can spend £7 more for the same meal. I had mince, dumpling, chips & veg also for only £5. Comfort food which was warm and tasty. We received a friendly welcome and no complaints about the beer.
Only a 2 minute drive from the M1, this is a perfect pit-stop.
