“A Fantastic Holiday Cottage”
Reviewed May 4, 2018 for a stay in March 2018

This is our 3rd consecutive year in the Dales and this Swaledale area is our favourite. The cottage is in a wonderful location with walking straight from the door, a fantastic pub 5 mins walk away and beautiful views over the valley. The walk from Keld to Muker and back with a lunch stop at the Farmers Arms is a must. The cottage is fantastic! so comfortable, clean and well equipped, it was a joy to spend a week in it. Loved the 1st floor lounge with its views over the valley. This cottage has that cosy feel while also providing plenty of space. Thoroughly recommended.

It is so nice to know you enjoyed your holiday and that Hillcrest was everything you hoped for in a holiday cottage. So pleased you have found Swaledale - it is special; unspoilt, vast, sometimes wild but always mesmerisingly beautiful. Once dicovered, never forgotten. Looking forward to welcoming you back one day.

“Cosy cottage in a stunning location.”
Reviewed March 4, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Very well equipped and clean cottage. Stunning views from the upstairs lounge. Great pub nearby with a very friendly atmosphere. Glenda the owner was very helpful and quickly responded to any queries. A home baked lemon cake was awaiting our arrival from Glenda which was a welcome and delicious treat. We would 100% recommend Hillcrest Cottage!
Thank you, we look forward to a return trip.

Perfect! This is a cottage with a heart. The cottage is in the most wonderful location with great views. We loved it the first time we visited in 2016 so we stayed for a second time for three nights this February. And it did not disappoint. It was peaceful and so restful with great walks with our dog right from the doorstep. The cottage is beautifully presented being clean, tastefully decorated and very well-equipped. The owner clearly cares very much that her guests have a good experience & has put so much thought into it. The cottage is warm, cosy & extremely comfortable. We all slept extremely well - the beds are so comfortable with high quality duvets and bedding. We also recommend the local pub where we enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch followed by a stroll 'home' and a chilled out late afternoon in front of the fire to aid digestion! We were sad to leave such a lovely place and hope to return very soon.

“A cozy and comfortable retreat”
Reviewed January 15, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We stayed at Hillcrest Cottage for Christmas. Glenda had the house nicely decorated for us including a real Christmas tree in the lounge. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the shower was excellent - even to continental standards. ;-)
Another bonus was that we could bring our dog - a must for our trip.
Thank you very much Glenda, we really enjoyed out trip and we shall be back.
