“Great location & comfortable van”
Reviewed May 10, 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Stayed for 4 days over the Easter holidays; 2 adults, 2 kids (9&6) and small baby. Van was comfortable, clean, well equipped and warm. Instructions for arrival / getting in and directions all very clear, no hassles at all and everything was as it should be. Oven / hob worked well and beds comfortable.
Van is perfectly situated between Scarborough and Whitby and very close to Robin Hoods bay.... great location.
The Floss Inn pub on site served very nice food and staff were really friendly- they also had kids toys etc so kids happy and catered for. Small park on site which looked good but didn't use due to bad weather. Nice views as van in front gone! And horses opposite caravan which kids loved!
Would definitely return. Many thanks Paul.

“Lovely owners but disappointing stay.”
Reviewed May 8, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

After reading some fantastic reviews we were very much looking forward to staying here. Sadly when we arrived the caravan was in a bit of a state, very dirty and obviously had not been cleaned. We spent the first hour and a half cleaning which was not ideal as I am over 7 months pregnant and on crutches due to severe sciatica and SPD. The sofas, which have been covered up by blankets, are very old and stained as are the cushions; the sofa bed is disgusting and completely unusable and the mattress in the double room needs replacing as you can feel the springs in your back. When we contacted the owner he was very kind and offered a full refund and explained that unfortunately he had been away so hadn't been able to come and check it like he normally does between people staying. When we explained we couldn't find anywhere else to stay due to it being bank holiday and that now we had spenr time cleaning it we felt it was important to at least have one day out on the Saturday as it was my husband's birthday and the last break we would get before our baby arrived and then would leave on the Sunday morning instead of the Monday he requested we pay back some of the money he had just refunded which we did. Sadly this was not the break we hoped for or very much needed and won't be returning but the owner was very helpful and apologetic just a shame the caravan was not as we had read or expected.

I have talked to the person who checked the van prior to this guests arrival and they have let me know the van was in good order before this guest arrived..........
When I received the email from the guest letting me know she was unhappy with the caravan I immediately refunded all the money she had paid for the break, with the offer to stay the first night for free. I am really sorry the caravan did not come up to her expectations.
I was surprised the lady decided to stay longer than the 1st night when rooms where available at the lodge and also the pub. This was presumably so stay longer to find as many perceived faults to complain to justify her review. There are too many untruths and exaggerations to answer. .........
I question why a lady who is 7 month pregnant and on crutches would take the time to strip off throws remove large heavy cushions, then remove heavy boards to complain about a sofa bed which she was never going to use. In addition to the double bed in the bedroom was 2 single beds with new memory foam mattresses. When we checked the sofa, the boards had been replaced upside down and were broken in half, which I had to get repaired.......
The guest forgot to write in her review her complaint to me about the colour of the water coming out of the taps, she also complained about bedding which was pointed out to be brand new.
The conclusion is everyone has an opinion and I am very sorry the caravan did not reach her expectations, but the caravan along with its fixtures and was no different to when people have stayed and given 5 bubble review.

“Ideally situated for visiting local attractions”
Reviewed September 26, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Perfectly situated near Robin Hood's Bay and a short drive to Whitby/Scarborough. Attractive views towards Robin Hood's Bay. Comfortable, spacious, warm, well equipped static caravan. Supermarket near Whitby for essentials. Adjacent gastropub, The Flask Inn, and cafe, are well priced and serve really good food speedily and the staff are attentive. There are frequent, well priced, punctual buses outside the site for Whitby/Scarborough. Would definitely return if in the area again.
