Great getaway cottage in a beautiful location. This is a comfy , well equipped cottage. Plenty of space for 6 people with a shabby chic vibe .
We had a relaxing weekend with lots of lovely walks with a pub at the end! There’s small but well stocked shop at the end of the street that sells logs for the fire and a little bit of everything else!
The cottage is located down the hill, right in the thick of the gorgeous old village of Robin Hood's Bay. I have wanted to stay down in the village since I was a child and everything lived up to expectations. The beach is very close and there are 3 lovely pubs within 5 minutes walk, all dog friendly though special mention must go to the Laurel which has live folk type music on Monday evenings. My husband thought he was in heaven - Theakston's Old Peculiar and live music!
Staying a the cottage was like living a piece of history. It is over 300 years old and has been sensitively refurbished keeping all the old world charms. The staircase is steep and winding, adding to the overall authentic experience. Both the owner and property manager were very easy to communicate with and sorted out a small issue, very promptly.
We will definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at 2 the bolts. Comfortably slept 6, 4 adults and 2 children. Homely feel and kitchen had all the basics. The only real problem was that our youngest didn't feel safe on the old windy stairs, could possibly do with one of those rope bannisters for the elderly and younger among us. Beds/bedding were very comfortable. Perfect location for the wedding we attended at the Victoria hotel. Very friendly locals and tasty food in the local cafes and hotel. Thanks.
Great property which was ideal for us and our dogs, will be visiting again in the future. The beach is literally only a few minutes walk if that
