Stayed in a caravan here for a week. Caravan was lovely and clean and there was plenty of room. Park was nice and quiet. There is a play park and a large area for kids to run about and play games. There is a lovely cafe on the site serving good food and there is also a lovely pub ....the Flask Inn. The food they serve is all home made and nothing is too much bother for the staff, lovely friendly people. The food is excellent! This place is well worth a visit! .

We visited here on 5th July during our stay at the Grouse Hill Farm camping Site. I had the fish pie starter which was very tasty and a very generous portion. My husband had the soup which he really enjoyed. The food tasted all home-made, including the chips, and was also good value. The staff were very attentive and friendly.and the place had a nice atmosphere.

Room Tip: We only ate here we didn't stay.

Had a lovely week-end at the Flask Inn; anniversary treat. Lovely welcome when we arrived. Beautiful spacious room. Food was delightful. Very varied menu. Staff very friendly. Michelle was extremely helpful and cheerful. The Inn is very well placed for visiting Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough. It was our visit to this area. Enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to visit again, staying at the Flask Inn.

T he vans for hire are very nicely furnished with a big flat screen TV they have a good shower and 2 toilets. There is parking alongside the caravans.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Michelle, we knew that this place was going to be right for our little break on the coast. She offered to carry our bag upstairs (I declined...I'm not that decrepit yet!), and showed us a beautiful spacious , simply furnished bedroom, with every facility , including a large bathroom with shower cabinet, (the shower later proved to be efficient and hot), TV, which worked perfectly on first being switched on (which makes a change from some places). We were then able to peruse the welcome pack, which was really informative about both the facilities of the hotel, and also all the local attractions, plus a copy of the current menu for dinner.
That was the high point! The menu advertised dishes with a very large choice of what were obviously chef-prepared dishes, as each dish was unique. We were totally spoilt for choice, but when we sat down to eat we chose two different starters, perfectly cooked spare ribs, which were both tender and crisp and served with a delicious sauce,, and my choice was the Kipper whisky flavoured pate with hot home baked bread. . For mains we had pork chops which were tender and very tasty, with a nice little selection of vegetables, and I chose the local fish pie which was the best I have ever eaten, mainly because it was really hot, and had a crisp baked cheese topping ,plus a very nicely dressed green salad. Care had obviously gone into all these dishes. The Chef Andy deserves the highest praise. I wish I could have sampled all the dishes on offer, as they looked really interesting, and perhaps we should both have been more adventurous! A really good night's sleep, in a room which was quiet, as I had requested in advance, followed a by a standard, though not exceptional ,English breakfast, again with a couple of more interesting items on offer, served by a most friendly waiter, Dave, who was determined to ensure that we had everything we needed.
This place is not just an ordinary pub, but well on the way to being a gourmet's delight.
I also try to find a crack in the armour of places I report on, but this time ...nothing.
(Well, as usual, I would have preferred a more mellow choice of background music, but that may just be me.) If you don't like unwanted background music join "PIpedown". we might win one day!
Oh, yes. the price. Booked on line, the room for 2 was £80.00. If we had booked direct it would have been less, I believe. Altogether , including the dinner and two glasses of white wine plus one white wine spritzer, the total bill ,excluding tips was £123.95, which I think is extraordinarily good value. 4 Star hotel at 2 star price.
Great place.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 3 which was quiet. Didn't hear a sound until a bird twittered at 7.00 a.m.

We stayed in a rented caravan at the flask inn for 3 nights with 2 of our grandchildren. the caravan was very clean and comfortable with lovely views over to Robin Hoods bay. the park has its own small play area which the girls loved. we ate every evening at the flask inn, the food was good with an excellent menu, and plenty of choice for the grandchildren. the service was a little slow, an hour between ordering and eating, but the place was quite busy and the waiter did tell us that we would have to wait a while. all in all a very enjoyable break and we would not hesitate to go back again in the future.

On arrival at the Flask Caravan Park the caravan was very clean and with a lovely view. The site itself is kept to high standad and the free wi-fi in the caravan was a paticular bonus to our teenage son with a very high speed! The site itself is lovely and quiet but povides easy and quick access to the coast and surrounding moorland and lots of great days out. With regards to the Flask Inn, we had a drink several times in the pub during the week and had meals a couple of times. The food everytime was fabulous, could not fault it! Nothing was too much touble and the staff were very friendly and attentive. My husband does not like batter on fish and asked if it could be cooked without, again, nothing was too much trouble with the staff asking which way he would prefer the fish to be cooked, he ended up having a beautiful piece of poached fish instead, you wouldn't get that sevice in a Wetherspoons!!!! All in all this was our first holiday in North Yorkshire and the Flask Caravan Park, the site was recomended to us by a previous guest, we were definately not dissapointed and would recomind this site to others. We have had a fantastic week, with great weather, friendly people and definately good food!
