a well kept and homely guest house.
we arrived really early but Liz greeted us warmly, we went into Richmond for lunch, so on our return did not feel we wanted cake on arrival ( Liz was happy to serve our cake the following afternoon)
room really comfortable and breakfast first class,
recommended restaurants really good.
will look forward to returning to this gem of a B&B

Room Tip: we had Swaledale top floor corner room overlooking cricket ground

A very well presented B & B with excellent beds ! a very good nights sleep was had. The owners were most helpful and and had a great knowledge of the area .If staying it is advisable to book a restaurant in the town (5 mins walk) as most places get booked. We were greeted with a choice of hot drinks and homemade cakes on arrival .There is a good selection at breakfast inc cooked available. The town is close with stunning views from the castle walk and on the hillsides behind.

Room Tip: On suite is not available in all rooms .Our room had a smashing bathroom but was across the landing...

An absolutely lovely home and fantastic hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for Liz'n'Gez. Lots of advice on places to visit, and how to get there, lots of maps and plans to borrow to help find the way round. They were able to suggest restaurants to visit (in fact on their advice I booked in one place a fortnight before I visited as Liz told me they get booked up early). The room was spotless and the best is just tooooo comfortable. Great range of food available and although I am not a cooked breakfast fan, the meals I saw being delivered looked very appetising. Thank you Liz and Gez - can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: Coverdale was fabulous - great shower!

What a lovely home, beautifully restored and very well kept - up to Swiss standards in fact - fantastic food (including cakes and tea) and lots of it and Liz 'n Gez could not be more welcoming and helpful, My daughter, grand-daughter and I were extremely sad to leave this home from home, (the beds were very comfortable and the mattresses were at least 12 inches deep - talk about the princess and the pea) couldn't give this place and lovely people a higher rating - FIRST RATE - thank you Liz and Gez.

We had a very comfortable overnight stay at Cordilleras House on our way back to Suffolk from Glasgow. Liz and Gez have thought of everything to ensure that their guests are well looked after including tea and cake, a great room/facilities and lots of information on walks, restaurants etc. The only slight drawback for us was that there is no parking at the House but there is a carpark nearby. However my husband was slightly anxious about our boat/bikes on the car and was relieved to find everything as it should be in the morning! We enjoyed the short walk recommended by Liz along the Swale to Easby Abbey before continuing our journey home. We would not hesitate to return (without a boat & bikes!!) Thank you Liz and Gez.

Many thanks for your kind review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Cordilleras House. We didn't realise that you had bikes with you, which is a real shame as we have secure bike storage for our guests to use, so we could have saved you any anxiety. Please do come again and do bring your bikes, which we will lock away next time! Liz & Gez

I can't recommend Cordilleras House highly enough. We were welcomed with tea and a choice of home made cakes which was just what we needed after a long journey. We stayed in Swaledale, which had a view over the cricket pitch and a lovely en suite. The beds were extremely comfortable which made getting up in the morning very difficult! But the fantastic breakfast was too tempting. Liz and Gez were so welcoming and it didn't feel like you were intruding in someone's home, as can sometimes be the case in a b&b. Would definitely return!

I had the most wonderful two night stay at Cordilleras House. After a long car journey, the gorgeous cake and tea we received on arrival was just we needed to begin relaxing and unwinding. I stayed in Coverdale, a large room with a very comfortable bed and decorated to a high standard. For me the shower in the en-suite bathroom was my favourite feature, very modern, spotlessly clean and luxurious! Liz and Gez are the perfect hosts, making us feel very welcome and explaining how to get to places and ideas of things to do. They also served up the most fantastic full english breakfast, accompanied by homemade granola and fresh fruit, croissants and toast!!! There was also a beautiful lawn at the front of the house with table and chairs where i enjoyed reading magazines and drinking tea! I really can't recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough, perfect stop for walkers, lovely location for families and couples with plenty to do, and can personally say that me and my friends had a the best time in Richmond!!
