october, 2011 - we stayed for one evening. The bed and pillows were the worst we have ever experienced. Restaurant not in use except for breafast. Bar meals only = service diabolical = experience never to be repeATED

This hotel is pretty old and has some curiousities because of its age such as uneven floors and odd room layouts. However, the long shagpile carpet that covered the floor including the shower room could have been avoided! I don't know why you would chose to carpet a hotel floor with it. It must be impossible to keep clean and made me wondered how clean it was. I stayed with family so we had a look at a few rooms and it only seemed to be the twin room I was in that had this issue. The room layout was also a bit odd with what appeared to be a cupboard housing the toilet and shower with the basin in the bedroom. The beds themselves were comfortable enough and the shower was hot. Always a bonus! The breakfast next morning was fine and overall the stay was fine. We were staying as we were attending a family party in the hotel so we got a good price but I don't think I would chose to go back.

My wife and I stayed for one night in May2011, we were going to Catterick race course just across the road. We arrived and some of the car park was blocked so guests could park. The bars was packed so we went to the races. after we went back to the hotel and with race goers and two weddings to attend to it was busy but five bar staff who knew what to do soon had all the customers satisfied. we ate in the bar and the food was good. would return here if in the area

My Mother & I stayed and loved the hotel, staff and area. Being from the states this was a truly wonderful old British flavor. The old building has a wonderful feel about it, from the many levels of floors to the wood doors. We had a room overlooking the gardens with a wonderful saying carved over the bathroom door comparing old men and wee babies. The staff was helpful on sites to see in the area and friendly after a day of touring. We have been there twice and plan to go back when we are in the area.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed there for 2 nights from the moment we walked in we were made very welcome and throughout our stay, food is exellent, breakfast is good too The rooms were very clean, i would go again without a dowt, as i have family up there and travel regulary. The one thing i will advise to people is if you would like to have a room with a bath you do need to tell them, as most the rooms are showers but the owner now knows me now and will make sure i have a room with a bath next time,

The Bridge House Hotel was a nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well stocked. The resteraunt/bar was very pleasant, with good food and good beer at good prices. I only stayed there for one night, but it was a good stay at a very reasonable price.

If I had to criticize anything, it's that the hotel seems to have a problem with televisions. The TV in my room must have been 25 years old (though it worked fine) and the bar only had a small 13" TV -- not good for watching Champions League matches. But that's a small thing, I wasn't there to watch TV.

The hotel is DIRECTLY across from Catterick Race Course, and while the hotel was quiet while I was there, it's probably loud when there are races.
