This is by far the best place I have stayed whilst on business! Newton House is in a great location with shops and bars only a 5 minute walk away, also very close to Harrogate and the A1. The room was spotless and I loved the modern decor and personal touches. Breakfast was fantastic, I have never stayed anywhere that has so much choice. I had bacon and eggs which were cooked to perfection. Denise and the rest of the staff were very friendly and I was made to feel very welcome. I would recommend Newton House to anyone, it is sure to impress clients and is great for business travellers aswell as couples and families. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel/guest house has large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, wonderful breakfast and helpful staff. Although they don't serve dinner or lunch, the area is full of very good pubs and bistros.

Newton House is a really lovely B&B. Our room was great and it was nice to have a room where they were not afraid to use some colour in the decore. The proprietors were very nice and they ran a honesty bar in the lounge. Breakfast was fantastic. The only problem with knaresborough is that there is nowhere decent to go for your evening meal. Things to see include the petrifying well and mother shiptons cave. You must make a trip to Fountains Abbey which was just fantastic.

Our stay at Newton House was excellent , the friendly service provided with the clean spacious rooms was what we were looking for after a long drive. Situated in the centre of town made it easy to explore the town. The fresh breakfast provided each morning was something to look forward to.Highly recommended place to stay if in Knaresborough.

This was our second visit to Newton House as we loved it so much that we had to go back. We based our stay in Knaresborough as we had heard it was a lovely picture postcard town and was ideal for getting to York and Harrogate with easy access to the motorway and across to the moors and Dales.
On our first visit we missed the entrance to the small carpark at the back of the building as it is literally through the wall of the building and down a small alley, so approach the junction slowly! We were met by Mark the owner who is smiley and charming and were taken to room one, a newly re-furbished large room facing the road with all the tv and music mod cons, luxury bed fabrics, walk in shower and so many little touches that it is difficult to list them all....from fresh stem flowers, sweets in bowls, well stocked mini fridge and red wine bottles to tempt you...to assortments of cosmetic aids, creams and potions in a bathroom that turns the light on automatically as you walk through its door(this was only a drawback if you got up in the night and were dazzled by the bright light that was a shock to the eyes or woke your other half!).
The bed was the most comfortable we've slept in and though the B&B was fully booked there was no audible noise from the comings and goings. Breakfast was a feast, the best that food has to offer and you would need to stay a week just to sample everything. The lovely way that Lisa and Mark use food in season and make all their own jams and provide bowls of fresh fruit compotes..rhubarb on our April visit, plums in October.
Lisa and Mark are the nicest of proprietors and they obviously work hard to offer the best, which they do as it was fully booked again at our most recent visit. Cards of thanks festoon their mantlepiece with many re-visiting like us.
A wonderful welcoming and relaxing trip. Thoroughly recommended.
