We bookbutler minute, but Denise was welcoming and helpful. The B&B is warm and comfortable with beautifully decorated rooms. We were tucked up away on the top floor, and it was quiet and cost - just what we needed for a quiet weekend away! Denise shared some local knowledge with us, and made us feel like nothing was too big or too small. Breakfast was fab (I had the eggs benedict and the other half had a full English). Lots of lovely extras throughout the B&B help make it a very special place to stay. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Book early. We booked very late and as we all know - beggars can't be choosers! The rooms seem t...

Really enjoyed my stay here. Breakfast was fantastic. Not sure about free sweeties - think I ate too many eclairs :-) Staff where warm and friendly. Rooms where immaculate. Lovely comfy beds and stiff linen. Thank-you. Look forward to return.

I spent two days here with a small team and used it as a 'home from home'. Great hospitality, food all locally sourced, good to be able to walk to the pub and good restaurants. Worked well as a comfortable space to talk and focus on relationship within the team.

Highly recommended as a unique venue.

Rooms comfortable and well equipped.

I thought it about time to write a review of Newton House Hotel. My wife and I first stayed here in May 1989 our honeymoom and have since stayed her 6 times. I have just booked our 7th stay for 3 weeks time. Every time we have stay we have had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The hotel is of a very high standard. When we last stayed in December 2011 it was the first time we had met the new owner Denise. She has made an excellent job of making an extremly good hotel even better. The rooms are of an even better standard that previuos owners, and the breakfasts "well I defy anyone to find one better." The hotel has lots of character and rooms have all got individual looks. The bed linen is of the finest quality and the rooms are spotlessly clean.
To sum up if you are looking for a hotel in the Harrogate/York area please try the Newton House you will not be dissapointed.

I can highly recommend this place. They went out of their way to make my stay very pleasurable. They were very friendly. The location was only a few minutes from the high street but far enough away to be quiet. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Hot water and nice warm rooms in the middle of winter.

Room Tip: There was no swimming pool (can't seem to deselect) But I upgraded to the larger room - WOW -

Thank you Denise - so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Have checked on Booking.com and can't find any reference to Newton House having a swimming pool though.

Spent a weekend here in room 8, exceptional high quality and comfort. Denise made us feel welcome and I found her to be a little like basil faulty, we was very entertained by her approach to her customers and although we chose to park our car away from the hotel, the effort that she made to get all the guests parked was great. The room was on the top floor and was really nice with everything you might need. The mini bar was very reasonable and my husband was thrilled to have so many sweets to munch on. Bathroom was immaculate and well equipped and the whole atmosphere in this B & B was lovely. We loved the quaint, warm feel to the place and will stay there in future. Food was lovely and the staff are all very good at what they do, we felt very much at home here. Thank you Denise for your lovely hospitality and your high standards.
