“Interesting for an hour or two”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

Came to see the cave and well whilst returning home from a visit to Durham. Was passing and thought it would be good for an hour or so as a break. The cave etc and site are very nice and it was a pleasant stroll along the river. It was however quite pricey. £6 an adult, plus £2 for carparking. An interesting site but I do think that the people who own it are making a fair Amount money, especially charging £35 for a rock teddy bear! Nice adventure playground for children in the grounds too.

“A pleasant afternoon”

Good parking and play facilities on the trail route. Small museum at the end and a treat if you complete the trail. This would be weather dependant.

As above. I saw this as child and always remember with interest. Nice walk beside river too. Good view of bridge and castle high above.

“must do in Knaresborough”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Really interesting if you can get into the spirit of it and imagine what it was like in the old days. Apparently it was the 1st tourist attraction in the world. It is easy to see why people back then thought the purifying well and story that goes with it was so magical. Its a nice little woodland walk by the river from the car park to the well. The facilities could be better, but there was talk of improving them soon.

“Overated money making myth”
Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

Nice place next to the river but save your money, it is not a cave and there is nothing to see. I was dissapointed that it was only a hole in the wall with a shop that is brilliantly marketed.
