We were delighted to spend a couple of nights here. The food was varied and delicious. The approach by staff, very casual. The hotel a little scruffy around the edges, maybe a little tied. The weather was perfect. Thank you

We got married in June at Wrangham House it was the best day ever thanks to Stacie who is the greatest organiser and makes you feel really special and the fantastic food cooked by the one and only Peter. The gardens were in full bloom and look great on our wedding photos. And yes the furnishings are a little tired but what do you expect in a house full of charm. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a lovely intimate wedding or for the food alone. Thank you Stacie and Peter

Recently returned from a very enjoyable weekend stay. Warm welcome as usual, room clean & comfortable(traditional décor but cosy with it). Lovely & quiet, so had a good nights sleep - but did hear the owls calling in the garden! Food excellent as always, with a good choice, lovely & freshly cooked. Wrangham House has a good sized car park, so parking is never a problem; it is convenient for the nearby coastal towns & a good base for touring this area. Although some attention to detail would improve appearances( ie tidying some areas of the garden, & curtain hangings), we would be more than happy to return-for the food alone! - & would gladly recommend the hotel to others.

A quite superb lunch of exceptional quality combined with fine, friendly service. Highly recommended. Perhaps an overlooked venue. Great beers on offer too! The beef and vegetables were cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.

Very nice intimate venue for a wedding. Food was excellent as was the service from the hard working smart waiters. The venue is quite small and there was a lounge and a bar to gather in whilst the room was set up for the service, reception and evening disco. It all happens in one room. This left the other areas a bit cramped for everyone. My main gripe would be the lady owner who, it seemed, couldn't be bothered to dress smartly like the rest of the staff. In fact she appeared to be wearing a scruffy pair of grey jogging bottoms. She then proceeded to announce the bride and groom at the reception. I say announced, more of a screech! Given that it was a small room it was totally unnecessary to shout for the whole village to hear. She was also overheard by a few of the guests shouting at the staff who were doing an excellent job. Very unprofessional. The lager ran out at 10pm. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the wedding, it seems the one person tainted it.

On our way through to Filey we called off at this hotel, it was after lunch about 3pm, after enquiring if we could have afternoon tea in the lovely gardens as our two daughters 4 and 6 were very happily playing outside, the waitress could not of been more helpful . She produced an assortment of freshly made sandwiches two large homemade scones with pots of jam and lots of cream also strawberry's,a bowl of homemade chips a large pot of tea an drinks for the girls.
We enjoyed it very much and highly recommend stopping its a hidden gem! Also such good value at only £19! Such friendly staff .

From the hotels' website and from the price that we were charged I had expected this hotel to be old but with character - country luxury if you like. We stayed for one night B&B and during the whole time I didn't see a member of staff who looked older than 18. You could have been mistaken for thinking that the parents had gone away on holiday and left the kids in charge of the place.
The young people were very friendly and helpful - I'm not wishing to criticise them. But id did seem really odd.
Our room (3) was tired looking and had the smallest handbasin it can be possible to purchases. The corridor along from our room had chunks of bare wall showing where both wallpaper and plaster were missing! Although it was June it was quite chilly and our radiator never seemed to heat up.
For £105 B&B this establishment compared very badly to two other places where I have had B&B this year. One of those was in Pitlochry Scotland which cost £70 per night and the other was in Suffolk and cost £65. Altogether disappointing - I will avoid it in future.
