“The place to stay in Hunmanby!”

A wonderful experience, would highly recommend this lovely B&B! We had a lovely warm welcome from the Manager Rob who was helpful and friendly at all times. I stayed for 2 nights with my two daughters in the family room which was the biggest I've ever seen!
A most enjoyable, comfortable stay and a hot tasty home-cooked breakfast too - nothing more a guest could want....
Thankyou! We will definitely come back soon :-)

I highly recommend this lovely B&B. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern style. As I was part of a large family group, I saw many of the rooms, and they were all of the same high standard. The rooms were spotless, bright and airy, and had all the ‘extras’ in the room that you could need – toiletries, tea and coffee, soft towels and flat screen TVs. Having travelled for several hours to get to Hunmanby, the lovely comfy bed was a relief to flop onto! The breakfast was excellent and was served to the table in the lovely breakfast room, so our whole group was able to sit down and eat together, rather than all queuing up for self service. The staff could not do enough for us during our stay. On top of this, it was a complete bargain at £70 a night. I highly recommend this B&B and would definitely go back.

Cycling the Wolds Way with a couple of friends, we enjoyed a very welcome and welcoming night's stop-over at the Southgate. The rooms are comfortably appointed, Rob and Chrissy are the friendliest of hosts, and the breakfasts will set you up for the longest of cycle rides. Good food, fine local beer and excellent North Yorkshire company are to be found in the pub next door (plus, on the night we were in, a local band turning out stirring performances of everything from Springsteen to Robbie Williams). Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Wolds or the nearby coast.

Stayed here for two nights. was not let down by the warm welcome me and my partner got, showed us to our rooms with all the infomation we needed. the rooms was nice and warm very clean, every thing was what you would expect from a higher end hotel. the breakfast was cooked to your request and was very filling. the owners recommeded the Cottage Inn next door for meals. and on our first night we took this up and was not disapointed, some say the menu choice is small. may be it is but there is a dish on it for everyones tastes. would i return? yes without a second guess.

Stayed for two nights at The Southgate.
We got a very friendly welcome from Carl & Nikki.
Our room was lovely and big,the whole b & b is to a very high standard and service first class, our breakfast was great filled us up for the day.
The Southgate is in a lovely little village that has everything you need and not far from the coast.
We would stay here again.
We would recommend a stay to anyone visiting the area.
Thanks for everything.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great, hard to choose.
