We stayed at the Bull's Head for the last couple of days of February half term. Despite the very cold and snowy weather outside the welcome we got from Helen ( the owner) more than made up for that and we had a really enjoyable 2 days.

The Swaledale room was very clean and comfortable and even though it overlooked the town square it was nice and quiet too. We were invited to use the lovely lounge, with roaring log fire, to relax and warm ourselves and were offered a cup of tea straight away. Helen was very helpful recommending eating places, places to go and as well as filling us in on some of the local history.

The breakfast each morning was very substantial and appetising and set us up for the day. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and our only wish was that we could have stayed longer !!! We would definately go again !!!

Stayed here for work purposes and experienced a very warm friendly welcoming hotel
Rooms where warm , spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was lovely and the staff can't do enough for you
The hotel itself is in the heart of the town so everything is close to hand and easily accessible .
Will definitely come back here with my family to enjoy what I would say is the best hotel guests stayed in .

My friends and I came to stay here for a weekend away. We had a very warm welcome and the owner Helen was very accommodating. We took our dog with us and it was so fantastic to be welcomed into such a dog friendly hotel. We were even provided with a dog bed.

The rooms where cosy and lovely and extremely clean. The breakfasts which we had was delicious and good quality good which is always a bonus. We will be definitely staying here again. Had a fabulous time!

A friend and I stayed for one night on Mon 18th March. It was a cold night but the minute we walked in the door we were met with a warm welcome and a warm fire. Helen who owns the joint suggested we get a bottle of wine from the local spa shop and warm up by the open fire. It was perfect. The rooms were spacious, perfectly clean and individual. The only odd thing was that my room only had a skylight window not a normal one so it felt odd not to see the outside. But not all rooms are like that. Breakfast was lovely and all great value.

Room Tip: ask for one overlooking the market square

Had almost two full weeks working in Hawes, right outside the door step to the lovely Bulls Head Hotel so this was my home through out the duration, I was greeted at the Bulls head by Helen and a very warm open lit fire it felt warm and cosy.
The rooms were spacious and had all you need.
Very helpfull staff who make you feel welcome and are more than happy to deal with your request.
Very friendly and invited us to the local pub for drinks abd introduced us to a few locals who would help us whilst in Hawes (pub landlady)
Breakfast was spot on evey morning and even provided pack lunch when requested.
This was almost a holiday but I had work to do through out the day but since Helen and staff at the Bulls Head and all the locals were so pleasant and helpfull I will certainly be booking a nice break away for me and my girlfriend and we will also bring our dog along seen as The Bulls Head and most local pubs are dog Friendly.
Overall I would highly reccomend The Bulls Head to anyone.

Absolutely loved the Bulls Head. We stayed for 2 nights as we were in Hawes to visit family, and I'm pretty sure we'll be staying at the Bulls Head again. We stayed in the Swaledale room which was lovely and clean with very comfortable beds! It had a very warm and cosy feeling, just how a B&B should feel. The staff were great and very helpful, and they dished up a very generous breakfast! Great if a long walking day is planned! It is smack bang in the middle of the village, next to all the shops (and the pubs!). The street is very quiet in the evenings, as most people are in the pubs where there is a great atmosphere. We walked up to Hardraw Force waterfall on one of the days, which was only a mile away and well worth it. Stunning views. And Simonstone hall is about the same distance aswell. All in all we highly recommend this B&B and the village where there is loads to do.

We stayed on a saturday night at the bulls head in hawes. The welcome was very wam and friendly and there was a gorgeous open fire lit as we walked in. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was functional and clean and warm with nice fluffy towels. The breakfast was hot and generous and owner Heather was helpful, chatty and very knowledgable about the local attractions. It was also situated right in the centre of the village which was great for eating out and wandering around. We will stay there again - in fact we are looking forward to it already
