As below. Ive been coming to filey since i was a baby. One day i will live here. And this is one place i would eat everyweek. We have done the 200 mile trip just to eat here. Extensive menu, friendly, clean and im a big eater but havent quite finished a meal yet. Recommend surf and surf, enchilada so far.

“We love it”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Everytime we come to Filey, we come for a meal at the Honeypot. Everytime we think the meal we order can't beat the one we had the time before, but it does. The portion sizes are huge and the quality of ingredients is excellent. There is a huge menu and whatever you order seems to always have lots of variations so that what you order is exactly right. Would recommend it highly.

“A Lovely place to eat, and the food is great!”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

This is a lovely, old fashioned pub.The menu is varied, and looks at first glance a bit on the expensive side, but - Oh my goodness! - the food is wonderful and great value for money. My husband and I had a 3 bean chilli with potato wedges. the wedges were gorgeous, as was the chilli. My son had a pepperoni pizza to himself...which he needed helping out with (!) ,but that was delicious as well!

We had been here before, when it was different owners, and the place and food is much improved. There is a children's play area (ball pit) which is in another room (thank goodness) .
Definitely would come again, and definitely reccomend to others.

“Fandabbydozy!!!”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

A bit off the beaten track towards Speeton a village near to Filey.. But if you like good food and a friendly welcome give it a go... Home cooked food, extensive menu with specials board, children's meals and play barn inside £2 entry... Pub is quite traditional in decor lots of nick backs mainly dolls around and an open fire in winter when we have visited before.. It is certainly busy in the summer months serving from 12 til 8 pm on saying that we had no trouble getting a table. OH had a t bone steak which was lovely and I had a ham salad ( feeling healthy) which was spot on.. Beware though portion sizes are big on the main meals... The kids menu is standard stuff mini me had the children's ribs and mini OH had gammon both were nicely cooked... Can't fault it really service polite, quick and efficient... Whenever we are up on the east coast we try and pop in!!! Doesn't disappoint...

“Hidden gem!”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

After reading the reviews we thought we'd try the Honeypot Inn during a stay at primrose valley and we weren't disappointed. The choice of food is unbelievable, the quality of the food was fantastic and we enjoyed it so much we returned the next night. The pub itself is small and quaint but it does get very busy at teatime. The play area if brilliant for keeping the kids entertained. All in all we had two lovely meals here and just wish we had something similar nearer to home!
