“Unspoilt”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Christmas day would not be the same without a walk along Filey beach. This is one of North Yorkshires treasures, at the moment it is unspoilt ,lets keep it this way. We bring our grandchildren to this beach to play in the sand and ride on the donkeys they love it. There is a lovely cafe to get hot snacks and drinks and a kiosk for ice cream. The houses along the front echo and remind us of the Victorian past that Filey was part of.

“Great beach for the whole day”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

We have been here in the summer and obviously this is when you could spend the whole day. There is an arcade and lots of little shops too. There is a fantastic cafe that sells the usuall burgrs and ice cream and a life boat centre that you can look round. In the summer there is a childrens fair with bouncy castles and a crazy golf course.

From being a kid and going winkle picking, to the present time,I have always enjoyed a wander along the front and the Beach. For this is one of the quieter spots along the East Coast and well worth a visit.

“Very long beach”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

This trip was in winter so I cannot comment on the swimming although watching some wind surf paddlers or whatever they are called enjoying themselves was good. Its a nice clean sandy beach with plenty of shells for the children to hunt for. There was a lot of dog walkers but I don't know if they only allow them in winter. It's a very long beach which is nice for the walking enthusiast.
