We have just arrived home from a 2 night stay in this Premier Inn in Bilborough, SW York and can honestly say that the hotel is great.
The staff were very helpful and smiley at all times (which cannot be easy!!!). The rooms were very clean and served their purpose.
We purchased breakfast for the 2 mornings and again it was very good value. All you could eat cooked full english breakfast with the usual cereals, juices, crumpets and muffins. Always something for everyone. Again staff were very helpful and pleasant at all times.
The nearest park and ride for York was only just over 4 miles away at Askham Bar and the service ran every10 minutes straight into the centre of York. (Cost £4.60 for the two of us return, again good value).
York was very interesting indeed. In our opinion, Yorvik was expensive & overrated, but York Castle museum was good value for money at £8.50pp and displayed all kinds of things from the past to the present. The victorian shops and streets were very interesting, recreating the atmosphere and smells and prison with their " prisoner ghosts" telling of their lives and crimes was extemely powerful and spooky.
Another interesting historic place to see is Eden Camp. It is to the north of York and is set in a POW camp, using the huts for displays covering lots of aspects of the two great wars and up to present day warfare, with personal re-collections & displays. Again atmosperic with sound, sights and smells of war. Very good value at £4.50pp.
Thoroughly enjoyed York and Premier Inn, Bilsborough and would recommend a visit.

Stayed 2 nights in York South West. Service was first class, staff friendly and helpful. Took advantage of dinner/breakfast offers. Food excellent value for money and very tasty. Bathroom tiles need a bit of a re-grout and bath and extra care taken on cleaning but good. Very comfy beds. Unfortunately woken on the first night at 3.30am with a lorry running engine outside room or close too and moving of bins or something similar. This woke me, my husband and 18month old. No issues on on second night. Stayed in family room with our 18 month old and 8 year old. Plenty space in room. Would stay again

We recently stayed in York for a three day break and stayed at the Travelodge and Premier Inn at the same location. But the Premier Inn is by a mile, the best.
The service was amazing from check in to check out. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We ate in the restaurant twice and found the food tasty, hot and good value for money.
The room was spotless, warm and very comfortable and apart from some drunken idiot trying to get in our room at 3.15am, we had the best nights sleep.
There is loads of parking here as well as a McDonalds and a local chippy that made the best fish and chips!!
I know that Premier Inns charge a bit more than Travelodge but it is well worth the extra. I'll do a review on the Travelodge thats just across the busy A road from the Premier Inn and you can see the difference in quality, service and cleanliness.

another great premier inn! staff really friendly and helpful, arrived early, got a nice quiet top floor room, about 15mins from York, only booked the day before but only cost £66,compared to the astronomical prices charged for hotels in York city, and some of them have no parking!.Keep up the good work!
