“Rubbish”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

This was one of the worst meals I have ever had ,steak and ale pie poor quality veg uneatable like rubber just under £10 with a cup of tea waste of money. On entering it was chaos there is only one way in and one till for take away and eat in people to pay and people waiting to be shown to a table which you must do even if the place is empty so there is a build up of people in the door way chaotic .Will never call here again.

“Little chef loses its quality”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Little chef was always such an approchable family stop on a journey. However, I was surprised at how much it has changed since the Heston revamp. This is my first visit to such a little chef and will be my last. It felt like a transport cafe with communal tables, tacky furnishing and dirty sauce bottles on the tables. The toilets too were tacky and smelly.

“A pity, quality not so good this time... poor quality sausage undermined our enjoyment of Olympic Breakfast”
Reviewed March 23, 2012

In a cooked breakfast, every ingredient has a crucial and equal role to play in the enjoyment of the whole experience. And so while the rest of Little Chef's Olympic Breakfast was pleasant enough, the flavourless, almost colourless, mono-textured, slightly rubbery economy sausage that came as part of it today made it very average indeed. A shame, we thought we'd found somewhere special - on previous visits, the food was much better quality - and now we probably won't bother again.

“100% Worth Trying - Especially if you haven't been for 10 years!”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

We stopped at little chef just near tadcaster on the way back from York to Leeds. Since the Heston revamp i was unsure if the new and improved little chef would live up to the hype.

Its unfortunate that the buildings Little Chef's are housed in can't really be updated as it looks a little shabby from the outside but once inside it was clean and decorated to resemble an american diner.

The Burger i had was honestly one of the best i have had in ages, they appear home made and are absolutley a cut above any roadside food i have ever eaten. I would go as far to say that if it was based in a city centre (such as GBK are) then people would choose here to dine more reguarly. Fries were crisp as were the onion rings and the breakfast looked like an upgraded version of what i remember from 10 years ago.

Total bill for 2 was £25 which did feel a little steep for a roadside cafe but i would pay that money for the quality of the food every time.
