I visited Aysgarth as a child on a school trip 45 years ago and always planned a return visit. It was a brilliant decision as it lived up to my expectations with the beautiful walks and scenery. The icing on the cake was the lovely warm welcome we received at the Wensleydale Farmhouse. We were made to feel welcome immediately with homemade cakes and coffee. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a fantastic view of St Andrews church and the snow topped peaks. The Falls were a 5 minute walk away and pretty spectacular with the recent wet weather and snow. Breakfast was excellent and Steph and Paul made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay. Steph booked us into the Aysgarth Falls Hotel next door for our evening dinner where we received good food and a friendly, helpful service. All in all a lovely memorable weekend with accommodation I would highly recommend.

We couldn't recommend this lovely B&B highly enough. Warm, welcoming and fantastic breakfasts. Ask for a room with a view - makes waking up a pleasure. Great local walks.

They even forgave us for an incident with a van, some ice and snow, a slope and a garage door.

Stay here. You won't regret it.

We needed to book a last minute stay for 2 nights for New Years Eve and we couldn't have found a better place! From the chocolate orange brownie greeting upon arrival to a rather emotional farewell from Travis the tabby, we definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming place to hang their hat while touring the Dales. The weather was horrible and dining/ sightseeing options were limited, but Steph did a fantastic job of telling us the history of the surroundings and what was the best value for the time we had. We will be visiting again soon...p.s. the towels smelled great too!

Room Tip: We stayed in Taylor room. A little bit cramped for 2 hikers with luggage.

we arrived at steph and pauls fantastic guest house with a lovely warm welcome. We were given tea and coffee and home made guiness fruit cake and chocolate brownies on arrival....we were full before we had even seen our room.....and what a room it was, over looking the church of st Andrew and the wonderfull countryside. we stayed for 2 nights over the new year and although the weather was naff the location, views, and hospitality certainly made our stay so relaxing. Breakfast was scrumptious, the decor throughout was very homely and stylish. The whole place just oused class. We will certainly be back in the summer. Thankyou both of you for being such wonderful hosts.

If Carlsberg made a B&B, this would be it. Excellent accommodation and breakfast. Steph and Paul are attentive to every detail, and are the perfect hosts. I can thoroughly recommend the Wensleydale Farmhouse to anybody, and will be staying there again myself. I always prefer the personal yet professional touch.

Room Tip: Excellent Views from ALL rooms.
