“Great afternoon tea”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

Called in for afternoon tea. Received a warm welcome and had great food. scone and clotted cream, yorshire tea £5 a head. I had pate toast and onion marmalade. If you are visiting the yorkshire dales th is a great place to visit or stay. Rooms inexpensive.

The is a garden to sit in and gifts to purchase.
postcards of yorshire and honey and books.

You can stay there too and the breakfasts are great.

My husband and I stayed five nights at this pleasant B&B over a tea room in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The rooms were very clean and well-appointed. Although the B&B is right on the road, the rooms were very quiet. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. I ate muesli, fruit and toast and my husband enjoyed scrambled eggs. All delicious. The tea room on the ground floor was a great convenience for lunch one day when we stayed close to base. The hosts, Steve and Sandra, were very nice and accommodating. Sandra did our laundry--a great help on a long trip. Steve was very helpful when we had a flat tire and damaged wheel which required several phone calls. When we left we got packed lunches for our 6-hour drive to Oxfordshire to avoid eating the bad and expensive food at the M-road rest areas. We got a sandwich, a piece of fruit, chips, a drink, and a homemade dessert bar for an incredibly low 5 pounds--best bargain in England!

This was our first time here, and we are so glad we booked here! We can't say enough good about it - everything was fantastic! Our room (the Ingleborough), although small, was very cozy, pleasantly decorated, and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable; the en suite, although very small, had a wonderful, roomy shower (bigger than ours at home); and the room wasn't freezing cold, as some places have been. The breakfast was fabulous, and we enjoyed the teas we had there in the afternoons as well. Steve and Sandra are delightful, and we hope to return!

Room Tip: The other two rooms are larger.

Popped in for a late lunch today. All round excellent - the food & service. We both had toasted sandwiches and a large cafetiere of coffee. The sandwiches came with a really nice fresh side salad. Worth a visit if passing through.

Wow !! What an absolutely fantastic place. The standard is A 1. Cannot fault anything. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the beds are sooooooo comfy. The en-suite is spacious and spotless. The breakfasts are to die for. My dad said he felt as though he was 'ROYALTY'. Steve and Sandra are perfect hosts. We are all looking forward to a return visit as soon as possible. This is the best B & B we have stayed in and I can tell you we've stayed in lots. Well done and thank you so much x

Room Tip: They are all perfect

We frequent 'Hamilton Tea Rooms' as a family and with friends, the menu is excellent, something to suit everyone. Steve and Sandra always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. The food is of high quality, always fresh and very well presented. If you like Soups.....they are to die for along with everything else on the Menu! It is a perfect place to visit if you are staying in the Yorkshire Dales. Enjoy!

I stayed here with my mum last weekend. We had an absolutely fantastic time. The rooms in the B n B were beautifully decorated and extremely clean and tidy. We were greeted with welcoming smiles and a delicious cream tea! Steve and Sandra could not do enough for us during our visit and the idea that their service was 'terrible' beggars belief!!! The breakfasts were fab and were definitely a good way to start the day. The word 'stuffed' springs to mind! :-) The tea room is stunningly decorated and I loved the old fashioned feel to it. We had a excellent lunch there and rounded it off with another pot of tea. The cakes and scones in the tea room were amazing and we are STILL talking about Sandra's chocolate and caramel shortcake!! In fact my mum was trying to convince me today to drive back (2 hr drive) to get some!!!! An exceptional guest house with fantastic hosts and I have already recommended it to everyone I have spoken to! Will definitely be visiting soon! Thanks for an excellent stay!!
