Just returned from a 3 night break at the westholme estate and what a place. Fantastic scenery and plenty to do!
Aysgarth falls is a must ... Natural beauty at it's best. White scar caves in nearby ingleton is an amazing experience our guide Nick was brilliant!
We stayed in no 14 maple VIP lodge, whilst plenty of space was rather disappointed with the size of the tv very small. difficult to watch from where the sofas were. We had to move the sofa closer to it. Heating in the master bedroom was non existent, possibly need radiator bleeding? Rest of the cabin was lovely and warm, hot tub was lush! Upto working temp on our arrival which was nice after a 140 mile trip there, not very private though investment in privacy screens I think would help people relax more! Hendersons restaurant was lovely, a little over priced but well worth it. Be sure to book your table there on arrival as it only has 6 or 7 tables.
Highly recommend, we will be going again next year :)

Went for a 4 night break in october, had a maple VIP Lodge , absolutely brilliant, everything was spotless, the staff couldnt be more helpfull and friendly. One problem is you dont get a mobile signal but there is a pay phone . Food at Henderson's was delicious and good value.Would highly recomend.

We stayed in a Maple VIP lodge and we were at the bottom of the park looking out towards the river.

We were allowed to check in at 3pm as our lodge was ready, but we were asked not to use the hot tub until 4pm as it was not quite ready. The staff here mde us feel so welcome and should be so proud of the service they provide.

There were 10 other lodges near us but we did not feel overlooked. The hot tub was great fun and even though it rained whilst we were there, we still went into the hot tub....well you are wet anyway so what's a little rain.!

Our lodge had two bedrooms. One a double, the other a twin. We were provided with 4 large bath towels and 4 hand towels.

The kitchen has everything for needed for 6 people, including egg cups.! Good quality saucepans and cutlery too. All the appliances were high end quality and worked perfectly. The lodge was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

The estate at Westholme is in the 'middle of nowhere', there is VERY LIMITED phone signal and we loved that fact. There was no clock in our lodge and it was great as we were there to relax.

We took all the food we needed with us and ate in the very restaurant on site on Saturday night. The food was excellent and there are good veggie options available too. There are no shops near the site so even pepper and salt is required. A nice touch is they provide tea, coffee and carton milk so you can make a drink before you unpack.

It is in an area that we have never been to before and we enjoyed lovely walks. It's a great area for photography.

There is an information pack in the lodge explaining how things work and what the rule are. No loud music is allowed at any time so if you are looking to party with a group of friends then this is not the place for you.

Inside the lodge you can hear vertually no outside noise, not even the birds..! The lodges are also very warm and cosy and excellent hot water supply. We had a bath in ours and a shower over the bath.

If you are looking for somewhere for a cosy weekend where you can shut the world out and go for country walks, then this is the place. OK so there are other people in lodges close by but apart from a nod good morning, whilst we had coffee on the veranda, we were not disturbed by anyone. It seems popular with couples (there were no kids near us.) and I think people just go to have a quiet time.

We will look to return to Westholme Lodge again in the future.

Room Tip: Wifi is available at the bar, however make sure you activate or download from your provider on your device before you arrive as there is NO signal to do it on the estate.

Me and my husband came here for a 3 night stay for a mini honeymoon break and we only stopped in a mini lodge and was just amazing. Clean, great location and great staff. Resturant is amazing for food and good value.
The hot tub is amazing and very private. Would recommend anyone to stay here. We will be coming back again. Thanks

Stayed here for 4 nights on the 1st october in a laburnum vip lodge. Lovely views over the yorkshire dales from the lodge....

I will start with the negatives of this lodge....
beds are really uncomfortable I had to end up sleeping in the twin bedroom with my little girl as the double beds were so uncomfortable think they needed new matresses!!!

The sofa had stains on it ... i was expecting a leather suite as had booked the biggest and dearest lodge and couldnt believe it when we walked in and saw it!! the coffee table was all marked aswell and had not been looked after.

When i booked i asked for this lodge to have a really good clean as my partner has allergies. The cleaner wants sacking it was just full of dust my partner could not stop sneezing the whole time we was there so we had to end up vaccuming it ourselves on day 2!!!!

The positives....
HUGE OUTDOOR HOTUB although beware as they are not undercover from the lovely british weather haha!!!

Kitchen was great had everything u needed- lovely big shower with built in jets and radio.. the bar was nice at westholme although cannot comment on the food as we didnt try it.

Overall it was a nice break but i dont think id go back ive stayed in nicer lodges with hoseasons!
