We were part of a 20 strong Family Birthday Gathering on 23/11/2013 Saturday Evening and thought the food and venue very good. Waiters and waitresses were top class; food was plentiful and hot. We were not rushed and enjoyed a very pleasant Family occasion.
Our rooms were spacious clean tidy and warm.We enjoyed a good English Breakfast in the Morning and wished Bon Voyage by the Staff. All in all a very pleasant stay if brief.

We booked only at the restaurant 10 of us eating other sharing a drink to say a very sad goodbye to three colleague, I have to admit the menu and food was good, however I have never met such rude waiters, they insisted that we ordered quickly, they refused to offer alternatives to chips and confused some of the ordered dishes accusing us that we had it wrong! I would not recommend going to the carre arms for a meal , maybe if your stopping over they may have time to smile.x my message to them would be sack the waiters!

We go to Sleaford to see our Grandson and always stop at the Carre Arms Hotel. This is the 5th time we have stopped there and it just gets better. The rooms are spotless and a nice size and the ones at the front overlook the road and railway but you hear nothing. The food is excellent and the price is right, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and you mustn't miss the 'Full English' breakfast it puts you on for the day. We will be returning in the near future

Stayed on a Saturday night and the only room left was, according to the nice hostess, very small. Checked in by pleasant staff and found the room to be perfectly okay for one night. In fact it was better than a few we have stayed in over the years.
Ate in the dining room and this was excellent. Both starters and mains were very good and the service could not be faulted. Bar prices were low (for a hotel) with a pint of Worthingtons and a half of Carling just £4.25.
Breakfast was good with a decent selection to cater for most tastes and again staff service was faultless.
Our only niggle was, and not the hotel's fault, the neighbours, who seemed incapable of closing the room door, the bathroom door or the shower doors quietly from 6.30am to 8am. Completely thoughtless and selfish as other wedding guests staying over had placed the 'Do Not Disturb' signs on their doors.
Last time I visited these premises in 1973 they were owned by Bass Charrington and things have much improved since then! Recommended.

Room Tip: An end room should be quieter

My brother and his lovely wife Faye had their wedding reception here and what a fabulous choice they made. The food was delicious and plentiful, the ambience amazing and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and were on hand all night to serve many thirsty guests! The outdoor patio area was very pretty and well looked after and set the scene beautifully. I would like to go back as a regular customer and sample their everyday menu next time we are in the area.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at the hotel and it certainly was a memorable day from start to finish. The organisation of the wedding was excellent with lots of useful suggestions from Lisa-The Manager.
The day itself went without a hitch, the weather perfect, so we made the most of the outside facilities, the food was amazing and most of our guests commented on how good it was, especially the evening buffet. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating and looked after us both and our guests well.
The accommodation was of a very good standard, with clean and basic but good facilities-very comfortable.
Breakfast was relaxed and food lovely.
An excellent venue for a wedding, dinner or just a drink.

This is a small hotel with a big heart. We arrived late and were served a delicious meal of Haddock and Chips in the bar.
The bedroom was clean and quiet with an enormous comfortable bed.
We also sampled the delights of the Brasserie and were not disappointed. The service was very friendly and personalized. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the road.
