I stay at prenmier inns all over the uk because of my job.My last stay was premier inn at lakeside.I stayed in the annex which overlooked the beefeater pub.My room was really good ,warm, spacious, great shower with up to date decor..My main reason for this review is to praise the staff.I woke this morning( 16.1.13) to -5 conditions, unfortunately I had left the interior light on in my car and the battery was dead.I spoke to main reception staff, who quickly came to the rescue with jump leads and had me on my way in jig time..To the kind lady at front reception , thank you very, very much.

Good food in Beefeater, but had to wait for ever for a table.Book early..dont have the nachos...

Room Tip: annex next to main hotel was ideal.

Another very comfortable night's stay at this Premier Inn. As ever the staff were extremely helpful and informative when we arrived. Because of the cold weather they had even turned up the heating in our roon before we arrived. This time we stayed in the annexe which we thought was quieter than the main building. Staff extremely helpful. We will be back soon!

Room Tip: We liked the Annexe - It seemed quiter than the main block

I often stay here when in the area on business - last time was last week. What you get with Premier inn is a decent room with a really really good bed. What more do you want? Plus is half the price of other near by 'supposed decent hotels'.

Pub over the road is decent too - Anchor Beefeater i think.

Well done Premier inn - good value for money.

Room Tip: ground floor - as there is no lift

We arrived here on a Friday night - quite busy we had to wait for a table in the adjacent Anchor Beefeater pub.
Food was excellent very tasty, service good too. Highlight was chicken burger and spicy chips which were bottomless.
All in all a great meal very tasty and would go there again.

Stayed 2 nights over Christmas.
Very good price. Comfortable room, excellent housekeeping & excellent service received.
Specail requests for disabled guests were all taken care of (including moving tub chair into room and location so not far to walk) Was even offered 2 alternative rooms on arrival. Well done!!
Standards as good as some 3/4 star hotels (and as no frills eg slippers, bathrobes, room service this is reflected in the value for money price!)
Beefeater for breakfast was just opposite & was good

Room Tip: Annexe is newer with more modern rooms & flat screen TV's

We drove up from London late on a Friday evening so we didn't arrive at the hotel until about 11pm. It was our first time up here and our first impressions on the area was it was in the middle of nowhere although the hotel is within a retail park. Driving into the hotel, look out for the beefeater sign as the premier inn sign can easily be missed and you will find yourself driving into an estate. We didn't realise you could park on the other side where the beefeater was so at first we thought there was not enough parking but there actually is lots of parking around the hotel.
On arrival the receptionist dealt with our check-in very quickly and we were able to go to our rooms and settle down quickly.
It seems that the double rooms are located in a separate building from the main building but not a big problem as it's only a couple of footsteps away.
The room itself was nice and clean which was nice. Towels were provided and there was a soap dispenser for handwash and a showergel dispenser for the shower.
A hairdryer, kettle with cups, tea & coffee sachets are provided aswell as a small TV. Reasonable hanging space for clothes too.
The bed was comfy and like the idea of being able to choose what type of pillow you prefer to sleep on.
Had a bit of problems with turning the temperature up at night as I thought i had turned it up but was cold in the morning still.
We paid for breakfast in the morning at the reception and the breakfast area was within the beefeater. A good selection of hot and cold food and beverages available.
We used the free 30 minutes wifi. not the fastest but was ok for general email checking and browsing.
In terms of phone reception. it's the not greatest if you are on O2. Had one bar most of the time with limited 3G coverage.
Overall a really nice stay for my friends and I. Was up here for a wedding so not sure if we'll ever come back up here but I would definitely stay at a Premier Inn elsewhere if the service and quality of rooms is standard like this.
Also I booked early so got the room at a discounted rate.

Room Tip: We stayed in the double rooms which seemed ok. You may hear the occasional footsteps from upstairs...
