The service we received from start to finish was brilliant, our waitress was a lovely friendly girl who couldn't be more helpful. We visited on a friday evening and although we were the only table upstairs in the restaurant it didn't effect our evening as it's an intimate space anyway, and we wouldn't want to sit downstairs among the drinkers in full view of the whole pub. Our party of four all enjoyed a three course meal that none of us could fault. The menu had ample choice without being overwhelming. We all had steak and were still talking about how amazing it was the next day, the accompanying chips were also divine! Goes without saying we will be returning ASAP!

Eaten here a few times now and must say I am never disappointed. The menu always sounds delightful so end up having three courses whether I have room for it or not. The homemade tarts to start with ate exceptional.
There is always good ale to choose from which rotates in a regular basis.
All in all a cracking pub, easily the best for miles around in these parts.

A First class typical English country pub in a charming and delightful village in North Lincolnshire.
Professionally run by David & Jacqueline in a friendly and welcoming manner. Fine wines, traditional beers and specialist real ales. Outside events include the Beer Fest to Rock bands to weddings and christenings etc. Coffee lounge open every morning and food served all day and night except Sunday evening.Function room available for a more private event. I can recommend this Public House, it is well presented and very easy to find in the middle of the village next door virtually to the Co op store. Hospitality at its very best go in as a stranger and leave as a friend. Superb place to pop into and while away the hours with a quiz, game darts or a quiet chat.

Cask marqued and CAMRA approved and deservedly so. An enthusiastic and knowledgable landlord. Slap bang in the middle of this pleasant village - well worth a visit. Decent sized rear car park.

This pub recently reopened having previously been known for v good food. They have a good range of ales and a varying menu. You can eat in the lounge or upstairs in a separate dining room. The food is v good indeed. Service was initially enthusiatic rather than skilled but that aspect has improved substantially.
Best to book for weekends or special days. The best table in winter is downstairs in front of the fire. Eating in the dining room is v comfortable but a bit lonely if you are the only ones up there so check.
